Spain play the same old football all the time, teams know how to beat them now

Plus, if they finish 2nd in their group (Chile and Holland can beat Spain) they play Brazil, and then it's game over.

Did you see the game between Brazil vs Spain? Brazil had the right to make crazy fouls to take the ball back. If it's the same no way Spain can win this. Why would it be different, the WC is in Brazil?

I agree the Brazil squad isn't very strong but if they have the right to be agressive, no one will beat them.

Would rather wager on Brazil or Argentina, but would rather just make solid plays each matchday

Just saying imo Spain represents more value than Brazil.
Why would it be different? Well because its football......Just because one team beats another, doesnt mean it will happen every time - otherwise gambling would be very easy.

I heard someone say Spain is a bad matchup for Argentina b/c they can maintain possesion and can score on Argentina's weak defense..

I did the espn bracket simulator and from what i see Spain has the easiest path to the semi-final if they win the group.

But if spain dont win the group Brazil will beat them i think.

Spain is not a united country, and that is felt on the team. The Catalans players don't feel the urge to defende the colors as the Castillan do for instance. They manage to overcome that in the past, will they manage this time as well?

Africa is not in Europe. Its no European team has ever won a world cup in South America.

I agree with the others no value in Brazil 2.5 to 1 is not worth it

Then who won the World Cup in South Africa? Spain. I guess they were situated in Asia in 2010, right?

Tiki Taka football have been in a mess lately. The season before last, Bayern thrashing of Barca in the CL, Brazil total domination over Spain in the Confederations Cup Finals and this season Pep's Bayern being totally outclassed by Real Madrid.

Brazil is winning it. Own country. People will get killed if there is a rubbish call vs them. No way they aren't given the benefit of the doubt in all fouls.

The key here is not about the past result, it is about how the referee will manage the game. If it's a south american football style, I think Spain has no chance.

But I agree with you, there's a certain value with Spain.

Argentina can't seem to win the big games.

Spain has a strong team, they should be considered strong contenders.

Spain has good squad, one of the best, but not that good as 4 years ago. Key player in last 6 years, Xavi is old and has bad season behind him. Similar to Xavi, other Barca players are behind their best years. Alonso also. Problem for them will be to adapt to the post season tournament. Still, they are one of the contenders, with Brazil, Argentina and Germany above them in my opinion.

Argentina are a different beast in South America. They beat Brazil in Brazil 2012 friendly that certainly wasnt a friendly. Bet agaist them at your own peril.

If Spain wins... Diego Costa will be murdered before he leaves the stadium. So for all the parties involved, I just don't-want/can't-see them winning.

And also lost to Brazil in a friendly in 2012. But I agree they're a good team and one of (3) I would consider wagering on outright.

yeah and people say Argentinas goalie Sergio Romero sucks but he hasn't given up a goal in the last 2 friendlies....

He is 6 foot 3 and a good athlete, maybe he is finally playing to his potential.

bottom line is South American teams will dominate this tourny.

The Final 4 may have no European squad.
