    Who knows about golf?

So Furyk was +9000 to win open, now down to +4000. Is this significant In golf? I had him thinking it was for the masters, but realized it was for open

    great question

don't know, but it seems like it is significant. What time frame did this occur in?

why the big move golf experts?

A $50 bet can move a golf future that much.

Furyk is always a decent bet in the majors. I had him for +7500 for the Masters. He was right there up until the last 9. Had him at +$ to make top 25 as well. U.S. Open is about fairways, greens, and putting. Stenson and that other weird Swede are good picks as well. As far as the movement, seems fairly significant. Top 20 finish at the Memorial could have eased up on the line. +9000 seems too high.

Surely they adjusted after Furyk's three-straight top-10 finishes after the Master's, including second place finishes at Wells Fargo and the loaded Player's Championship. He's a contender. Best of luck with your bet.

Wouldn't pay any attention to golf line movements means nothing at all betters always look at recent form trying to get best odds

Furyk is a steady player and he normally shows up for opens (usually the toughest major to win). Hopefully he doesn't hook a driver on 15 like he did in Cali a few years ago.

The odds cut in half for almost every golfer since the masters. Tiger Woods announced last week that he would not be playing in the open where he was the favorite.

Count on Furyk to be in the race until Sunday then he'll probably drift down the leader board.

He won the US Open in '03, fellas. Why? Because, despite the loop-d-loop in his backswing, this bald-headed drip is one of the best athletes in America. For real. He can flat-out play. 16 PGA Tour wins.......that's a lot. His career earning stats are among the all-time bests. Furyk is always tough in Majors but the US Open, with it's premium on driving accuracy, particularly favors his game. As previously stated, there is no real "smart money" in golf........but there are still, what one could consider to be, "good values". Furyk is worth a small play.
