I thought he would get fired.....and should get fired. Pacers basically played .500 basketball for half of the season. I think they were one game above .500 since the all-star break. Something happened inside that locker-room. Teams don't go from being dominant to down 30 to the Hawks at home.

I really want to know what happened. There were rumors of players sleeping with teammates wives, players fighting off the court, and then we all know about Paul George's off the court problems. All these things to ruin team chemistry smh

I'm lukewarm on Vogel, while I don't feel he's a top notch head coach, he did get his team to the Eastern conf finals two straight years, the Pacers just aren't as good as the Heat, tough to blame the coach when you're going against a more dominant team. Indiana has some holes, they need an upgrade at the point, and some more bench help. Jeff Van Gundy made a good point last night regarding the Heat and Pacers, he said Michael Beasley would see significant minutes coming off Indiana's bench as a scorer, meanwhile he hasn't played all playoffs for the Heat, and is usually inactive. A player that Miami never plays would be a big part of Indiana's rotation, that says a lot.

Actually, the issue is called ''Lebron James", and after he re-signs with Miami, the Pacers will have to keep dealing with him. Think about those teams in the East that could never get past Jordan. Vogel said it best last night; "We're competing against the Michael Jordan of our era, and the Chicago Bulls of our era". That about sums it up.

That is 1 big factor but doesn't excuse them from playing so badly throughout the playoffs. They were so much better and more competitive last season.

Indiana went as far as they could, they're the second best team in the East, they'll never be as good as Miami as long as Lebron is there. To say Vogel should be fired because the Pacers lost to the Heat, is unfair imo. Pop, Rivers, Thibadeaux, even Phil Jackson could coach this Indiana team, and they would also lose to Miami. Indiana lost because they don't have the talent the Heat do, end of story, it has nothing to do with coaching. Reaching the Easter conference finals is as far as that team, (as currently constructed) will ever go. Also, the Pacers were something like 4-1 underdogs vs. Miami, so the outcome was as expected. Don't blame the coach when a huge dog loses a series.
