Who's getting rich fading the Red Sox?

I've had them 5x during this losing streak, wish I pulled the trigger today too, but did not.

The Boston Strong magic carpet ride ended in Octorber.
Playing hardball with Ellsbury was the biggest mistake they made.
They have one of the worst production numbers this season from the top of the order, the bullpen has come back down to earth, and with Napoli on the DL with Middlebrooks, they had to beg for Drew to come back at the original prorated price they wouldn't pay him in the first place.

Red Sox are now just an ordinary team that Vegas overprices and some fools still bet into them

And they are almost, not always priced 10 to 15 cents higher than they should be.

Fluke World Series run last year. They weren't even a good hitting team before losing Ellsbury.

they are a shitty ballclub right now but when everyone is back they can get hot in a hurry. if yanks had ivan nova they would run away with that division.

    Nova? Huh?

Who is Boston missing that would make that much of a difference?

Sounds alot like that New York team........... Nash, Lets face it losing ellsbury wasnt the end to the redsox, of course they are a better team with him..But the redsox are losing cause they have 2 old catchers, 1 cant play defense and the other cant hit a lick. 2nd problem is the outfield (Ellsbury on can play 1 position) JB Jr just isnt impressive at all, while he doesnt suck, he does nothing all that well... Nava garbage after a impressive year last year, Victorino a year older and a step slowing running and swinging the bat.. Gomes horrible player with many career hits and maybe a career year klast year. Cant hit a righter to save his life, will hit the occassional game winning walk off HR of a lefty. Now the infield, Middlebrooks hasnt hit the ball since the 1st month last year after being called up. Boegarts, good player but very yound, young guys dont become hall of famers in thier 1st year. Pedrioa good player and would rather have him for 8 years then Ellsbury. Total team player and committed hence the reason he took the 8/100 million..Big papi getting older but swing is still there. He is pressing miuch like Pedrioa.. Mike /Carp, Career year last year... offesively this team isnt going to scofre alot of runs, with or without Ellsbury... To many good things happened last year to most of these pplayers, it doesnt happen back to back years usually.. Pitching is decent, but when the offense isnt scoring enough runs to win games, then the pitching also starts to press....I personally have not bet this team since about a month ago, they are so bad that i cant even watch a damn redsox game.... Anyone who thinks this team is any better then any other team in the al east is crazy... As b ad as JB jr and Boegarts may look thi season, the best thing to do is continue to allow them to play and make a assesment on JB jr after the season. Boegarts isnt going anywhere and has started to play better during the past 2 weeks.. Also they should dump Sizemore, guy had a good 1st week, then has batter around 200 since then. Let gomes play LF agaiunst righties and lefties, he cant hit muich worse then Sizemore... I think the biggest mistake was not signing Salty, the pitchers loved pitching to him, and while he didnt hit for a high average, he was good for 40 doubles and 15 homeruns a year...The Redsox dont like pitching to AJ, he doesnt catch the ball correctly most times and some pitches that are strikes and called balls because th way he catches...

Sizemore was a low risk/high reward signing. I still behind that signing.

Boegarts has a very good chance of having a nice career, but, I'll say it yet again, Jackie Bradley is nothing better than an AAAA player.
Not ready for prime time, probably will never be, but a AAA all star.

should not be an excuse but they came off series vs detroit and toronto respectively. both those teams are hot (although detroit not so much vs texas). should have gotten a game at least vs the lowly rays.

Just because boston is a big market team, they are getting attention. but when the astros are on such a streak, it's just another day in the mlb. to say the red sox are due is ridiculous, look at the starting lineup... nothing scary about it especially when they only have two solid players (pedroia is also struggling this season). fundamentally, the red sox will not can't stop this train unless their starters/bullpen start holding it together.

agreed ow risk , high reward.....but right now there is no reward batting 220....As for JB Jr, i agree also, but its still to early to quit on him, let him play the complete year and make some decisions...Cant quit on young guys to early, I am sure you remember Jeters rookie year in the minors? Kid had 56 errors, yes 56! Look how much better a defensive player that 1 year made him........The Redsox over achieved last year, many and i mean many clutch hits,,,,,,,Same team this year minus Ellsbury, but there have been runners all over the bases again this year, problem is they get that clutch hit about once every 15 at bats........The whole division is a giant mess, before the redson lost 10 straight, they were 1/2 game out of 1st....and yes they were playing shitty ball before they lost 10 straight, so being 1/2 game out tells you how bad the east is........

I made a thread before that the AL East is probably the worst division in baseball right now.

Put KC there, they run away with it.

They have replaced the Angels as the most overpriced team on the board day in and day out. I still think their title last year was a total fluke, they just weren't that good of a team. Weakest WS champ since the 2006 Cardinals.

I'm not a Red Sox fan, don't even pretend to be a Red Sox fan, but now I officially feel bad for Bucky.

    Boston Red Sox
Pitchers IP H R ER BB SO HR PC-ST ERA
    C Buchholz 3.0 4 4 4 8 4 0 88-42 6.66
And Farrell ought to be shot for keeping him in that long.
