Mark Jackson just said Dwyane Wade is the third greatest two-guard in NBA history...

    Obviously after Jordan and Kobe.

Immediately I thought he was insane, but after looking over the list, could he be right?

There are only a few that could even be mentioned:

    Jerry West.
    Allen Iverson.
    Clyde Drexler.

I can't believe Wade is the third best, but maybe he is. Seems pretty weak.

I don't think he is but I also don't have a problem with any argument that he is. He has been a great player and accomplished quite a bit as a 2 guard.

He's certainly in the conversation. I'd say top5 although comparing players from different eras is silly to me.

Wade in his prime was amazing. I'd agree.

He is no better than 3rd but he can be as low as 5th. Lebron carries him in most games. Without Lebron he is averish.

Pavy serious question. Do you put your own pants on in the morning?

And do you need someone to book your bets? I have some time.

Do you think Giants are going to win the West?

    We should make a season-long bet. You've got like a five-game lead.

Wade is good, but I disagree he is that high on the 2 guard list. I would say Reggie miller and tmac are comparable to dwade in the battle for number 3.

i didnt read what anyone else posted. I read the title and went straight to posting. Mark jackson and other nba media types have said at least 3 years ago that d wade is a top 3 two guard in history

I was thinking I would take the Dodgers and give you the Giants.

If the Giants win tonight, you'll have a five game lead.

    Any interest?

2 ways to look at it, stat line and then contribution to winner team / clutchness IMO...

Looking at stats for AIs best seasons, I think Iverson has him by a little. Once you start getting into best team baller SG, how about Manu in the conversation? Joe Dumars?

I can't find anyone else who had gawdy stats and won rings and Wade did carry them on the way to his 1st one.

It's an interesting argument, Bill Dozer. Even his teammate Ray Allen should be up in the conversation.

I've always thought Wade was pretty good, but never thought of him as the third best at his position ever. But, whatever, maybe he is.

Iverson could str8 ball, but Wade is the more complete player with a way better pedigree .

Mark Jackson is a bit silly, but I can agree with this comment for the most part.

Me either. I thought the comment was bait by Mark Jackson to get us talking about Mark Jackson but Wade has some crazy #s in his prime and a ring to go with that. Not so crazy argument.

If you never saw either's highlights or team records, you have to pick AI right? AI never had a Pippen, Shaq or Lebron. His best teammate was Dikembe Mutumbo and by the time he got there he was already getting senior citizen discounts and McDs. Not saying he is better but he was a steals leader and scoring leader who was always double teamed. Better knees.

Based on his offensive skills yes. D? No. Teammate aspect no. The guy was a scoring machine and is a top 6-7 two guard in history w out a doubt

No doubt Iverson was a great scorer. He scored more than Wade but he took a lot more shots than him.

Wade proved that he is winner. This really counts towards the greatness of a player or similar skill level. He made clutch shots on all titles he won, even if he had Lebron by his side in the last 2.

Not arguing that Iverson is a great player because he was. I just think he is a bit behind Wade on almost all aspects of the game.

miller had very good teammates like mark jackson to help get him the space to shoot those ugly formed threes. People forget that rik smits avged 15 a gm he was a very solid center for 12 or so yrs

very good teammates like mark jackson? you kidding me? mark jackson isn't even in top 50 and i'm talking pgs.

flying dutchman is probably one of the best centers... in his home country.

wade played with the most dominant center ever and the eventual best player ever.

don't get me wrong, i like wades game but for a shooting guard, he can't shoot 3s...
