Your 2014 MLB lock of the year FUTURE BET.......Great 6 month investment

If you have a decent chunk of money laying around, go pound this one.
    Yankees win total under 87.

You can still run and get down on it, but you're going to have to lay some juice on it now. All the sharps hammering that under for sure the last day or so when it reached it's peak high from all the Yanks fans boosting that number up.
You may find a book at the last second offering Yanks at 86.5 maybe with a good juice price on the under, I'd recommend that if you can. I think this line is way off anyways.

Yanks will be a shit-fest this year boys.
Don't listen to biased Yanks fans just talking their team up.
They may not win 81 games this year for the first time in a very long time.
Gonna get the forum riled up because its probably 25% Yankees fans but let's face it:

Oldest team in MLB (If not, top 3)
$200 million team with about $80 million worth of talent.
    Texiera is done.
    A-roids is gone.
Jeter will be lucky if he plays 50 games this year the way it's been going for him.
Beltran is old and is a DL king.
The bullpen is absolute shit. They will cost them a ton of wins this year.
Robertson has no shot to be a successful closer IMO, and I'd be surprised if he stays in that role throughout the season. He doesn't have closer stuff, he barely has set-up man stuff.
Don't let his numbers fool you, he is a choker in pressure situations. You can see it in his eyes, he lacks confidence.
Tough division. Rays and Redosox gonna win 88 games and the Orioles have made a couple awesome signings and will improve from last year as well. There is no room for the Yanks here to win 87 games, they just aren't as good as these 3 teams.
They no longer have that powerhouse offense to make up for shitty starting pitching
(Although I'm rooting for my boy Pineda, who if he comes back from pre-surgery form, can have the best stuff on the team).

    And MOST OF ALL.

    NO MARIANO RIVERA.
    Game over.

    YANKEES UNDER 87 WINS

    PLAY BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That's actually a great bet

Riverera was entire Yankee team forever

They win zero World Series without him.

    Wow that's crazy.
It opened around 83.5 I believe.
These ppl pounding them over are nuts at 87.
Think of the middle you could have freerolled there if you bet it right.
You could have had them to win 84,85,86 to scoop both sides.

isnt that incredible. In not even a 24 hour period it drops 2 full games.

the juice went from -115 to only -120 .

But this is if you are betting the over.

Im leaning over on this one, im not going to bombard your thread with reasons why,

since your on opposite side, i dont wanna fukk with your mojo

But i will show you one quick thing.

Yankees won almost 90 games last year and this was their opening day lineup

    2013
    Brett Gardner CF
    Eduardo Nunez SS
    Robinson Cano 2B
    Kevin Youkilis 1B
    Vernon Wells LF
    Ben Francisco DH
    Ichiro Suzuki RF
    Jayson Nix 3B
    Francisco Cervelli C
    CC Sabathia P

    check out this years

    2014 (projected):
    Jacoby Ellsbury CF
    Derek Jeter SS
    Carlos Beltran RF
    Brian McCann C
    Mark Teixeira 1B
    Alfonso Soriano DH
    Brett Gardner LF
    Brian Roberts 2B
    Kelly Johnson 3B
    CC Sabathia P

wanna know whats also nuttier then squirrel tirds Benny, decent shot we both cash on this play.

    Yankees finish season 86-76

Yeah, but if you're looking at that lineup and thinking it's way better than last years, I don't really see it.
Jeter, Beltran, Tex all health risks and they will have to all 3 stay 100% healthy to be competitive.
I think you are also forgetting the Mariano factor.
They didn't get anyone capable to replace him.
Trust me, you will see it after a month how diff it is with the bullpen they are going to have.
    They will struggle.

Tanks win 92 games this year. Sorry guys who bet the under. Tanaka, Kuroda, pineda, nova and sabathia. Two seventeen game winners. Two fifteen game winners. One fourteen game winner. Another 14 wins and we have minimum of 92. These guys stay healthy and C.c bounces back along with their new look lineup, this is a rejuvenated team that wins their division.

Will never happen with that pen.
Don't know what was more funny, a "rejuvenated" group of 40 year olds, or you saying every starter will win 14+.

I would not bet any team Under 20 wins...what are odds on that, like +100,000?

I locked in BoSox Over 88. They are a focused bunch and think they can overcome loss of Elsbury...tough division, but they should beat up on weaker teams in AL and have maybe 50 wins at home, while going about .500 on road.

I wonder how many blown saves will take place without Mo..Yanks have real shotty pitching right now which could start their nightmare...Figured there's some compete left in that clubhouse with this being Jeter's final year.

As a Sox fan tho I love to hear about it!

We will see...If everyone stays healthy, they easily have 14+ wins each. When i said rejuvenated, age had nothing to do with it. I'm 34, and after sitting on my ass for the last three years, in 7 months of MMA training, i feel rejuvenated, and i am in as good of shape as I was ten years ago. I don't think rejuvenated means what you think it does.

We can agree to disagree, and that's what i love about sports. I know you share a lot of insight around here, and there are times I have tailed your picks. The yanks having a good season is one of the few things i feel good about in betting on the new MLB season.

Out of all my futures, this is my biggest sweat and also my biggest wager, and really I have to be think I'm a huge favorite right now with Yanks remaining schedule.
Already locked up Fatbathia under 14.5 wins

BUT here is the kicker for this wager-I have orioles +1500 and also +1000 to win their division and the only thing that can beat me is the Yankees.
If the Orioles were to have an epic crumble or Yanks have a surprisingly above .500 finish from now (which I don't see happening with that garbage team and super-tough schedule left), I could go from a huge score to coming out a loser.
Anything under 10 games isn't impossible.
I believe the Orioles had an epic meltdown in the 2000's one year.

    The sweat is on.

Royals +700 to win that division also.

Lets pound this last month of MLB and finish strong boys.

whole dif story if Yankees didnt suffer more significant injuries then prolly any other team in baseball.

I am going to prolly lose on the small bet I made on the over 84.5 , but I thought they fought this year.

Injuries decimated this team, no doubt about it. But when you bet a under thats one factor you have going for you

and when you bet a season long over thats one thing you worry bout is a team

being hit hard by long term injuries to key players

I easily cashed on the Orioles over though.... Cardinals bet is lookin a bit shaky

Correct those were opening odds at the Hilton.
I actually bet both +1500 and +1000 because I liked the late signings they made with Cruz and Cumbaldo.
That was an easy flier to take, even though I thought the division was going to be way more competitive than it has been.
They closed as low as +800 by opening day after those additions.

yo Benny, wanted to add that I wasnt speaking of your bet with that i said.

the under 87 is solid, but the over 84 would of been in great shape right now if not losing 4/5 of rotation all season

good bet , your bout 80/20 to cash that under 87 right now and id say the chances of it going over 84 is 30/70
