Monday- The REAL opening day for MLB. 2 plays today but one BIG one. Let's Go!!!!

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
My favorite day of the year has finally arrived.

Sweating Ryu and the dodgers right now on Sunday but you can't call any of these first 3 games of the year so far the actual opening day. It's always that Monday slate that makes it official for me.

Going to post the same way as last year.
I post my best/biggest bet of the day, doesn't mean it's my only bet, but it will definitely be my biggest action going. May post 2 like we are for Monday, if we like it enough.
Year long threads are lame and a waste of time. No one posts every bet they make, most of them aren't accurate, and quite honestly I could give 2 fukks about my previous bets, it's all about your bet TODAY that matters. Ride the heater when you're hot, and try to stay calm when you're cold. MLB is a long season, you're gonna catch a couple bad runs, you just have to have self-control and wait them out.
Looking forward to seeing all the good guys from last year on here who enjoyed sweating our wagers in-game with these threads.

I am also happy as fukk because I got my guy to give me 5dimes lines for MLB this year.

Let's remember we are here to win and enjoy the action.
    Let's get to it.

Opening day is full of juicy games IMO.
Going to have a good amount of action but I am heavy on one play for sure.
    Wayneright and the Cards. -114

Wayneright, one of best road pitchers in MLB last year. Also, one of the best in day games. He loves the sun.
    Guy's just a fukkin stud.
Cards have the best young core of players in the league.
Going to be an exciting team to watch this year with all those young arms on the mound.
I love wayneright's small price here going up against a good pitcher in Cueto.
Reds are beat up and have half their team on the DL to open the season, including the closer Chapman.
Reds should decline a little this year, and I think the Cards will compete with the Dodgers for the best record in MLB.

2nd play is the Royals +142 with Shields.
Royals are a team on the rise. Tigers will definitely decline. They made some awful moves in the offseason (Gave away Fister for nothing, re-signed Coke, signed Jabba Chamberlain- LOL). The only good thing they did was dump Fielder.
Got the Royals +700 to win that division this year. Not only because I think they can win it, but they are in a shit division with teams that all may be under .500 this year. 85 wins could get them in the playoffs in the AL central. So I see great value in that future.
Shields, one of the most underrated guys in MLB last year. Also, one of the best road pitchers in the game for 2013. He was a real bad luck pitcher with no run support. Royals finished last season on a tear, with a lights out bullpen and guys bringing some life to that team for the first time in many years.
Going against Verlander, who was 1-3 vs. the Royals last year and also had a really shaky first half of the season.
I think the Royals will be fired up and excited to get this season started and want to make a statement this opening series against the team they will have to beat to get into the playoffs.

Let's open the year with a couple winners for breakfast (Both day games).

    BIG PLAY:
    CARDS -114 WAYNERIGHT

    SMALL PLAY:
    ROYALS +142 SHIELDS

Let's get the opening day goosebumps going:

I like 3 games tomorrow just for the value in them.

Cubs +152 ---> Pirates are not that good of team and Shark is a very good pitcher. Not a fan of Liriano. Anytime you get a baseball game thats +150 I feel foolish not getting on it unless a true Ace is on the other end. Liriano isnt an ace.

Dbax +122----> Bumgarner is a great pitcher but I like the Dbax at home. I think they'll come out locked in at home, not wanting to go to 0-3.

Seattle +117 ---> King Felix an underdog? I'll get on that everyday.

I think Felix has struggled vs the Angels though. And Weaver is tough at home, he barely loses there. I like the Angels if I gotta take a side there, which I won't.
D-backs suck, Mccarthy is awful, but the Giants have no right to be laying wood on the road as they aren't that good either. So the plus money home dog makes sense there.
I agree with you on Liriano. He showed his old form last year coming back, but I'm not sold he can be labeled an ACE anymore. He needs to dominate again this year to convince me otherwise. Always hard to bet the Cubs, they are one of the most unentertaining teams to watch. They love to lose.

    Gl tomorrow bud.

    I like your bet.
    I bet these early:
    Dodgers over 92.5
Orioles over 79 (It's now higher everywhere)

And this one late: Yankees under 87

I knew they would hammer the shit out of the Yanks total and it would go way higher than the 83-84 it opened up at.
Yankees are old and washed up. Bullpen is dogshit, offense will be below average.
I think the Yankees under is the best bet on the board this year.
Go hammer it while you still can.
That team will struggle bigtime and maybe get 80 wins.

ALSO: I have a big bet on CC Nevertakesabathia under 14.5 wins -125.
    That was stealing.
No way he gets that, I don't care how much weight he's lost. Not only has he lost a step, but his team won't score 7 runs a start for him like they have in the past, he will never break 15 wins.

Haha. If being 5 under .500, having a 4.34 ERA, and giving up a hit an inning is a very good pitcher then yeah, Smardizja is a very good pitcher.

You don't like Liriano so you are betting against him? The dude just murdered at home last year. He probably lost 2-3 games. And he's going against the biggest joke of a franchise of all time. Pirates -1.5 is an easy play.

100% agree with you on Smardsjizz.
He can throw a gem here and there but he has showed he doesn't haven't the mental game.
And Francisco was a beast last year, I just want to see him repeat that performance this year and prove himself.

You just don't know how to bet and have no bankroll to beat it.
Anyone with a clue knows MLB is the only sport you can beat year in and year out.

    Yes sir.
I also have a small play on Orioles +1500 to win that division. Killed the closing numbers this year on my futures. It's like +900 now for them.
Yanks are dogshit, don't do it bro.

SOB , u sure did then. Those are magnificent numbers BBN

I wrote a lil diddly on this years Orioles in that Fly Me thread, not sure if you saw it or not

But it basically shows how historically powerful and gifted defensively this team is .

If their pitching can just stay right around the middle of the pack....

Couple young guns on that team that can get it done.
Tillman may break out he showed signs last year.
Adding Umbaldo was great for them.

Whoever says you cannot make money off of baseball is absolutely idiotic. I didn't have a losing week from May through September. This is the one sport where there is an overload of information. Some use it differently than others but to think that you cannot profit on baseball is ridiculous.

I was thinking about playing Cards RL as well. Cueto still seems to be bothered by his back and the Reds bullpen is thin with Chapman now out for awhile.

On the Cards today as well. I also see value in Royals - Tigers under 7. What say you, Benny? Verlander has been lights out this spring, Shields was great on the road this year. I don't love either bullpen and that's the only thing that has me worried.
