Thanks for contacting Bovada Poker Customer Service.
We are aware that some of our players using particular Internet Service Providers (ISPs), such as Comcast, are unable to access our site. We don’t know the full extent of the issue and we are doing our best to identify a resolution.

In the meantime, some of our players have reported that successfully updating their DNS server, following the below link, has allowed them to successfully access our site. If you are confident in doing this, it is a short term solution we are recommending.

    https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using

In addition, many players have indicated that accessing the Sportsbook and Casino from their mobile device, with WiFi turned off, has also proved to be successful.

As mentioned, these are short term solutions and we appreciate your patience as we are working hard to find a more permanent resolution.

Our Poker Customer Service Team is available by e-mail at poker@bovada.lv 24/7 to help if you need anything else.

    Thanks,

    Poker Customer Service

try to flush your dns cache -that should solve the problem

if you have a windows box, do the following:

    1. Click the Start button.
    2. Enter
cmd
in the Start menu search field.
    3. Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
    4. Type the following command and press Enter:
ipconfig /flushdns

    5. If the command was successful, you will see the following message:
Windows IP configuration successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

    for Mac use this:

    1. Click Applications.
    2. Click Utilities.
    3. Double-click the Terminal application.
    4. Type the following command:
      sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

Your DNS cache stores the locations (IP addresses) of webservers that contain pages which you have recently viewed. If the location of the web server changes before the entry in your DNS cache updates, you will be unable to access the site.
Once you clear your DNS cache, your computer will query nameservers for the new DNS information.

    good luck

Changed it to the google dns...turns out there's some other things they were blocking too.

It was down again this afternoon. If Comcast blocks Bovada the games there are going to blow

Any harm changing the DNS? It's simple to do, but I was just wondering if there are any drawbacks.

No drawbacks, except Google Public DNS is purely a DNS resolution and caching server; it does not perform any blocking or filtering of any kind. Your ISP might be filtering some harmful sites (with potential malware) - Google DNS doesn't do that.

So let's say if you have Comcast and you decided to go to www.Gummo77.com, your browser might stop the initial load of the site and throw a msg saying that there is potential virus on this site and it would ask you if you want to proceed or not - Google DNS will just let you load the site without warning.
