    I would love to see BetUS earn an upgrade. They could too.

    SBR has been very fair with BetUS's rating. This is a book with as bad of past as one could imagine. And not a very good present either.

    Just a quick update... More more players are getting paid. I think there were 4 in the last 2 days.

    I think with BetUS, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. There is confusion over there about how long it takes to get people paid.

    Here's my take on it. I think they are having serious processor issues. They can't say "we aren't sure when you'll get paid", but that is what it comes down to. Processors can only do so many payments in a day, or it looks suspicious. So they have to spread payments out over time. If there are a lot of requests in the queue, it will take longer to get your money.

    I earlier mentioned another investigation concerning BetUS. That turned out to be a false alarm (it was a player identity issue before issuing payment, but it had already sorted itself out when I called them).

    One thing that impresses me about BetUS - they go to extraordinary lengths to work with me, and provide information. Several managers there are always willing to take my call. This made it easy for me to resolve the player ID issue quickly.

    My recommendation for BetUS: get 4-5 processors, so you can spread the payouts among them. With the exception of payout delays (and the CS issues this causes), this book could be a reasonable out for recreational players. I'm not advocating anyone start playing there now, but they are taking steps in the right direction.

    I am amazed at how fast i can get on the phone with a CS rep with betus, i never hear good information from them though, just push it back and push it back. Im always polite and patient though, just hope i actually get paid.

    steve you should see yours next week but people are claiming they charge fedex prices and send it regular mail so maybe a little longer but it will come

    Ughh. Been waiting since March 18'th. I wish I knew that I could have requested a fed-ex check instead of Echeck because it is taking forever. They can take your money in under 5 seconds but 2 months to get any back is just a damn shame.

    I used fedex and it took longer than echeck.
    I complained and they did refund my $35. If anyone got scammed by this, complain and they will refund your money.
    It does not come any quicker than *************** and it does not come in fed ex, it came regular mail.

    Upgrade BetUS? … not happening until they begin payouts. I read many stories in the forum regarding BetUS…boy was I stupid. I’m new here and a first time poster so let me explain where I am.

    I’ve been using BetUS since the mid-90’s. I am a skillful sports investor (tracked by third party 62% wins and 65% unit wins from Sept 06-Dec06 with 646 games played across MLB/NHL/NFL/NBA/NCCCA FB & BB) but only invested in spurts and only on match-ups I felt very strong about over the years. My initial $10,000US bankroll, no bonus, was the only money I ever invested and I grew the account to over $95,000 to be my daughter’s college fund. I never invested for personal income and have just let the account grow, never withdrew or re-loaded.

    I’ve been very pleased even proud at my sport investment ability and recently a friend good with computers/internet worked with me to begin building a sport pick service thus the reason for the recent stat tracking. Going through a divorce my wife and I agreed to put the money into a more secure situation and my new roommate who happens to be my computer friend suggested I begin sport investing again for personal investment, I did.

    Called BetUS and told them I would prefer to open a second account and not have to use the college account, still trying to decide the best place to invest the money…I should have been more concerned if I would ever see the money. BetUS said sure no problem…I deposited between $1000-1500, they gave me some bonus and off I went and turned the money into $4300 in a little over a month taking games here and there but not daily.

    In the meantime, my roommate has been learning more and more about the whole sports investing world to prepare for the site by surfing the internet, he says BetUS is weak-I ask how, look at the pretty magazines they send . I ask BetUS for a payout of few hundred dollars from the small account, no problems. I decide to close the small account now worth $4300 in Feb/early March and BetUS says okay. ***************, hits bank as pending, sits for over a week, ran twice-bounced then 2nd time account closed. My bank was curious, called, asked what the company was, I lied. My roommate jumps in with info from SBR claiming it is the ultimate source for professional or potentially professional sport investors and that BetUS is a D- book with negative experiences listed everywhere.

    Called BetUS, promise to mail a check for the $4300. Wait two weeks, no check. Roommate says you are going to have to call them throughout the process and verify repeatedly but SBR might help. I think it cannot be that bad, I phone in my wagers, avoid the internet, but the roommate keeps freaking me out. This time, #3, they decide there is a roll over problem, never mentioned before; the last two failures they gave lame reasons but reasonable considering the US law changes. They then added that what they had done was transfer the money into the large account since my account was closed due to my decision to pull out the remaining $4300, without any notice, and offer a bonus for the mix up?

    Having spent 5-6 weeks on this $4300 and my roommate showing me more about other good books and getting me into the internet, I decided to not worry about the amount and to start making large regular withdraws of about $9000 each. Well after almost a month with no success and two excuses regarding mail out problems, the roll-over excuse gone, I made my third attempt to request the $9000 payout this week ( I’m losing count on total requests/excuse ratio, it’s #5 or #6), no problem they said, and with assistance from my roommate emailed SBR/Justin for help, joined this forum and created my first post. No worries, it’s in the mail this Friday.

    My roommate is watching over the shoulder guiding me into the professional world of internet sports investing. He says this post is too long but that someone might appreciate the candor and he reminds me that there are other good books. Hopefully SBR will grease the wheels he says so I can put out a new bankroll. Upgrade BetUS?-again after payouts hit, I'm almost 3 months waiting,-I'll give them a C as in C cup because from here they seem like a bunch of -pretty to look at but apparently no milk. No worries, it’s in the mail this Friday.

Today I was told that my $4000 echeck of 3/28 was "missing a number in my bank account", which I used in the pass to get money from Betus, and the money was put back into my account. So now they are going to send me a check thru Fedex that is going to come thru regular mail in 10-15 business days.

    This is the biggest lies I ever heard in my life.

    PANZ - welcome. Nice write-up on your not so pleasent experience w/ Betus.com. As you may have read in my previous posts, its concerning to read evferyones horror stories but you'll be paid, it will just take many weeks and patience. I think I had to wait something like 6-7 weeks for about $7000. Switch to one of the books with an A rating. You'll sleep much better at night.

    ps. I would love to see your website once it's up and running. Any idea of the address yet?

    I made my original request for a payout of $900 on 4/3. I, too am still waiting. Below is a summary of my communications with them:

    April 16, 2007 - Please let me know the status of my payout. When I select "Track Payout", I keep seeing "Waiting Debit". What does that mean and when can I expect my payout? I submitted it on 4/3. Thank you.

    Response - Dear Daniel, Your payout status shows "Waiting Debit" which means that it has been approved and we are just waiting for the processor to take the money out of your account. Keep in mind that *************** payouts take up to 20 business days for you to receive the funds, therefore the money will remain in your sportsbook account until our processor is ready to transfer it. Thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter. Regards, The BetUS.com Team.

    April 17, 2007 - Below is the reply I received when inquiring about my requested payout. It is absolutely ridiculous that it would take up to 20 business days to receive a payout, especially an electronic one. (Incidentally, when I called to request my payout, I was told it would take 10 - 15 days, not 20 business days.) When I deposit money, it is instantaneous. But when I withdraw, it takes a MONTH?? Obviously this is a deliberate ploy to get me to continue to bet until my balance falls below my requested amount and then you can cancel the payout. I just wanted you to know that, although I'm not a big-time gambler, I will be taking my business elsewhere. This is unbelieveable!!

    i am in the exact situation cubfan...asked for withdrawal the same day...payout has read paid for 2 weeks...nothing
    i don't know what to do, i am owed a lot more and need it to pay bills, some say they are paying after 6 weeks-others have been waiting way longer...

    Please email the General@eog.com. EOG claims they are getting every complaint to the front of the line and paid. BetUS advertises over there so they get priority.

    It doesn't make it right, but it may be your best chance to get paid.

    Man this gets more frustrating…BetUS promised a check in the mail Friday 4th so I called Monday 7th, they said it did not go due to processor issues but should/could Tuesday 8th. Called Tuesday, now they say they can’t handle my account and that I will get a call back that day. Waited all day, nothing. Called Wednesday, today, same story, they will call me, nothing after 3, 6 then 9 hours and now their lines are busy in the afternoon as is normal when I call after 2pm Central US.

    What do they want from me, I have to ask, isn’t almost three months enough…will it be a new excuse or what? Did I break some rule and only rolled my bankroll from $10K to almost $100K and they have a new rollover policy that requires a 100x rollover on initial deposits over 10K?

    Anyone have any helpful advice regarding what I should do next? Be nice or at least funny…need the laugh, here is what has been done to this point:

    1)Multiple payout requests, 6+, to BetUS since late Feb/March, nothing received

    2)Learned about gambling forums and most importantly SBR, thanks friend

    3)Contacted Justin at SBR with my issue late last week
    (who was great but I bet overwhelmed with similar requests)

    4)Joined SBR and began posting, got a few thumbs up

    5)Continued to request payout from BetUS

    6)Continued to read posts at SBR and learned only go with A books

    7)Drinking more

    Also questions:

    1)Is BetUS still part of the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, I don’t see it on their (BetUS) site and thought it used to be there? Is contacting Kahnawake a reasonable/viable/useful avenue and is the commission itself legit or helpful?

    2)Should I utilize other similar forums in addition to SBR in their willingness to assist or simply stay with SBR alone? I emailed Justin this question with an update of my situation but know he is busy but want to get this thing moving where I can in a helpful manner, not to interfere Justin’s work, anxious and upset but trying to be patient and useful. I don’t know the protocol, still green.


    3)What can I do that is useful for my case?


    What sucks to me is that from a marketing point of view BetUS did a great job enticing in customers…why not take someone like me/you and keep them happy. If they really took care of me/you, even as a winner, we would recommend them to the 99% who don’t win. The reason companies tend to stay in business is because customers are happy and feel like you keep your word and pass on that message to 3 or 4 others. Unhappy customers tell 10 people about their bad experience, so much cheaper to keep customers king. I really want to think BetUS is just having technical issues but after a while you have to say enough excuses…are you going to nut up, be a man and pay your promises and do the right thing…or in a few years look back and make excuses for your failures because you got what you deserved when karma stepped in to play.

    Finally, this message to BetUS. Do what it takes and become an A grade book and benefit from forums like SBR and its members. Pay your debts, focus on the customer and we will be loyal if you take care of us by sending you customers, or, stay on your current path and eventually be torn to shreds by customers, forums and eventually legal/commission groups, especially if the US market opens up again and competition advertises your recent/not so recent payout problems.


    Think long term BetUS, there are only so many new customers you can pull until that avenue slows and shrinks in usefulness, advertising does have a point of diminishing returns, then what, not customers you pissed off…or do you even have what it takes to be a leader and a real A+ book? I’m leaning towards “no” as are many others…again prove us wrong so we can praise your company. Do you have what it takes?

    BetUS are crooks, always have been, always will be.

    Raising your rollover after you are up is criminal and something they invented years ago. There are hundreds of posts from other people who had the same problem long before these processor problems.

    They advertise at EOG. EOG claims that although they have had complaints, they have all been paid. Post it over there and see how you do. It could very well get you to the front of the line. It may be your best shot at your money.

    I must have missed your question about using other sources.

    Regardless of whether you have emailed me, I'd suggest you use all available methods to increase pressure. If General at EOG can raise the odds of you getting paid (and I can't imagine he'd lower them), what do you have to lose? I'd also suggest players keep calling BetUS at least once a week until all their withdrawals are collected.

    hey guys Razor here... I have now been waiting 20 days!! for 1500$... Justin, I contacted you on day 1 remember? you said you'd put me on your "watch list". I actually got a call from them 2 days ago saying my fedex check got sent wrong and after 20 days please wait another 8 business days (2 weeks).. waiting with you guys!     payments are trickling in. Unfortunately, complaints are coming in faster than people are getting paid. I now have over 40 complaints, and 2 of them are owed close to 6 figures each.

    Just a thought from a newbie:

    Would it be helpful for you (admins) to map out a plan for BetUS to improve it's ranking? The plan could start with the hasty resolution of the 40+ complaints Justin is monitoring and could move on to other benchmarks, with a half-grade improvement in rank as each benchmark is achieved?

    It seems to me that part of the problem here is a snowball effect. Casino begins having problems with processors, new US law, whatever. Complaints begin to show on boards like this one, and more and more people panic and pull their funds, creating an even bigger strain on the casino. Meanwhile, the hubbub has a depressing effect on new funds coming into the casino.

    Seems like a recipe for driving a casino out of business, to me. If that happens, those of us waiting for money are out of luck, so to speak.

    Again, just a few thoughts from a rookie.

    Payout update--request April 6th

    They told me today that it's now 20 business days from when the processor pulls the money out. Mine switched to "Paid" on May 3rd. So like everyone else, I'm waiting and still nothing. They say it's "possible, maybe, hopefully, college effort, perhaps" it could come next week.

    Right.

    Very frustrating.

    Tracking payout changed to "Paid" on May 2nd for me. First they said between 5/9 and 5/11. Still no check. I just spoke with CS. They told me 5/23 at the latest.
