    Cuse is done.

They deserved to lose. Even though they won, their confidence has to be extremely low. First or second round knockout is extremely possible at this point.

Its why you bet ML's now in hoops as far as laying points, most of these games get tight at end

Cuse will play better, they're in a funk.

Cuse's biggest issues are 1) a team who can match their athleticism and can hit the glass. If you can't match the athleticism,2) a team that can shoot over them. There aren't too many teams that can match them athletically, but there are a ton of random 3 point shooting teams in the dance. Bunch of random mid-majors that live and die by the 3. If that happens, Cuse can do nothing but hope they miss.

There is a senior on Cuse that hasn't played man-to-man defense in 5 years. That's incredible.

Last 6 or 7 games for Syracuse have been decided by 6 points or less. Unreal.

they simply will not keep winning these close games. I don't like their chances against the other elite teams in a neutral field

    overreaction lol.
its college basketball... they're in the middle of a 3 game road trip.
there's not one team who would coast through duke and maryland with virginia on the horizon.

Was going to buy Cuse down to -2 today. Glad I didn't waste my time. Up by 10 with 5:00 to go? Vegas in the refs pockets. Apparently.

I don't understand where all the hate is coming from ... other than they have lost a couple ... this is what this team has been all season. Rarely a game more than a six point differential against quality opposition and rarely much more than 10-12 on the road regardless of the team in conference play, so what exactly did you expect at this point in the season for them to suddenly start blowing teams out? Get a clue peeps.

This is a team that will be damned or blessed with their draw. They need to go against teams that are not prolific scoring or cannot get hot from 3. Any team with either component is going to have a shot to beat them. The zone is good with its length, but obviously far from unbeatable and the offense is average on its best day.

Either way cuse is a bad bet right now. They dont like to cover and its frustrating for us bettors because we know they could.....if they werent always dicking around like ferry chumps.

If cooney was even shooting close to a starting 2 guard should cuse would be undefeated. He opens up the inside big time for grant and fair. With him shooting like garbage cuse offense is hurting. Cuse played whole second half without grant. No excuses to blow a ten point lead but they have blown double digit leads all year. Either they get focused and cooney wakes up or their just a good team. I have faith they will wake up start of acc tourney just like last year.

    Awful post. Saloon worthy really.

Sounds like someone who just lost a buttload on them this week.

Boeheim always has his teams ready for the tourney first off. Even when his teams are mediocre they find ways to have good showings.
2nd, this is still one of the best teams in the country.
Every team in the country (Other than Wichita St.) has had a couple bad games during the season.
They were tied with Duke into the final minute ON THE ROAD.
They played a tough Maryland team last night ON THE ROAD AND WON.

    Get a clue bro.
    This team's fine.
    Final 4 bound.

Syracuse is still pretty good it's a long season don't forget

I think good value taking the points when they play in the tournament on neutral courts

They don't seem to have blowout capabilities

This is a very good post. One of my biggest things with Cuse is last night we saw a very stagnant offense.. If the zone doesn't lead to turnovers and quick outlet passes which would then lead to layups they struggle on offense and hope for Fair to bail them out 1 on 1.

Yeah its very simple. If cooney wakes up and starts to hit his 3's than Cuse will be in the Final Four. Without him hitting 3's the defense collapses and Cuse cant drive and settles for jumpers. This stretch of close games Cooney's shot like 10% from 3.

3.) Lack of depth. Cuse only plays 7 guys, if Fair, Grant, or Keita get in early foul trouble that zone gets way outa wack.

7 guys is more than enough depth, IMO.

8 guys is ideal. 7 guys your fine. 6 guys you're pushing it just asking for disaster.

    7 is perfect.

When you have teams like Iowa who go 10 deep or whatever the fukk, that means there isn't much high end talent, where they can just make wholesale substitutions. Where your 3rd best player can be subbed out for your 9th or 10th best player without much of a drop off. That might look like "depth", but in my opinion that looks like a team without many players.

No shit. That's why I've been all over Cuse and Cuse fans for their lack of road games. The fact they dropped one game to one of the worst teams in a major conference, AT HOME - is not making something out of nothing. That's a disaster.

Did Cuse leave the state of New York during the non-conference? People talk so much shit about Duke for not playing anyone west, but for christ sake, Boeheim failed to leave the state. Sure they went to Hawai'i, but C'mon.

Not a single true road game on the slate. It's coming back.

That BC loss has to be taken with a grain of salt. BC was jacked up from going to the funeral of their S.I.D. who passed away from ALS and high on emotion. They didn't play perfect, but they made I think more threes that game than any other they had all season or close to it.
