Is StakeBTC the latest Bitcoin scam shop?

StakeBTC.com is at the center of the latest Bitcoin related sports betting dispute. The Bitcoin sportsbook, which has currently went off-line amidst speculation of theft, has been accused of placing a player's entire balance 46 BTC ($25,890) on three longshot college basketball underdogs. The three games have yet to begin, but StakeBTC.com is refusing to void the wagers.

The player who filed the SBR complaint is regarded as a professional sports bettor. SBR has helped the player recoup funds from sportsbooks in the past... Read more

Yep and what's more it's a black eye toward bitcoin gaming sites. While history is being made and Bitcoin ATMs installed around the world and even the US, you've got shady online operators scamming using the currency. Unfortunately players are really rolling the dice dealing with these outfits, there may be advantages in trading for some but until a major and reputable organization adds bitcoin as a cashier option, you're asking for trouble.

People crazy betting with books anonymously with bitcoins. I feel zero sympathy for someone who tries a book that is just starting up and has that kind of money in there, that's just stupid, and doing in anonymously with bitcoins is even stupider.

You want to bet in bitcoins because payouts are anonymous, well that's exactly why these companies are accepting them, because there is no trace log to them, 99/100 of these bitcoin books that pop up are going to be scams. So good luck to those who enjoy getting ripped off.

i would trust a bitcoin sportsbook as much as i would trust most of the costa rican operations. lot of scams out there too, even the books that have good ratings can fold at anytime

Funny how bitcoin is attack yet again by a no name no rated bitcoin book. Yes all the good books have a rating system just like here at SBR. Not saying I agree with what happened to this guy who lost 46btc but why keep that at a place that had warning signs on ever thread prior to this, warnings on every damn page for this book.
How about I bring up what has happened here at SBR? Bet islands, Cascade, etc. does that make every book here at SBR a scam? Also people who u going to listen too these wanna be guys who hate to even go outside for fresh air or people that actually play at places. I can't believe some of the stuff that they say here.

Its business pal. SBR doesnt receive commissions on players losses from a bitcoin book so its in their interests to continue with the scare campaign.

JJ has no fukkin idea and is a mouthpiece for what the company tells him to say.

Would rather play at a legit bitcoin book than most CR operations...

this is what worries me the most. with these bitcoin books, it could just be some tatted up coke addicted loser on the other end.

best to stick with real money books where you know the management and owners are legit businessmen.
