    I'm sure the kid is infinitely more excited about the prospect of being signed by an NBA team for a couple days than he would be by simply going to a warmup...so maybe that's the reason?

    Personally i dont the kid knows the difference between a binding contract versus going through the exact same motions without a contract. I feel like he wouldn't care even if he did and that what he's most excited about is hanging out with everybody. I'm not saying they don't give a shit about the kid. I'm saying their number one reason in doing it is PR related.

    P.R move or not (which it probably is) I don't see the Sixers gaining much out of it. And in the process made this kids day and his families who I'm sure have had quite a struggle.
