i'm looking forward to march madness this year...

i'm predicting many upsets... more than any other year.

literally anyone can win this year.

    it's wide fukking open.

not impressed by any one team.

i'm really hoping some low seeded mid-major team takes it all...

March through June is the best time of the year.

Conference Tournaments ---> March Madness ---> NBA Playoffs

Completely wide open. There are really only two teams in my opinion that are clearly better than everyone else, and that is Cuse and Florida. But would't surprise me if one of them falls early. I still think Wichita could be dangerous. They are solid top to bottom.

I agree with all of this. I think Wichita losing before the tournament could be good for them to add fuel to the fire. I have been calling for their first loss to be at Bradley on Feb. 25th.
They are just a good team that cares about winning first and foremost and has underclassmen who play like seniors with extreme poise. Even if they are down in the game, they figure out a way to come back and win. They have one of the best head coaches in college hoops (yeah - some people can't stand the guy) but he is a great motivator and gets the most out of his guys and all on the same page. Play hard for 40 minutes. Also have Final 4 experience from last year...could make a b2b run like Butler did a few seasons ago.

I like Florida to play well throughout the tourney - with 4 seniors, I think they want it badly and Billy's squad is looking tough.
I say Final 4 at least, but again, it's college hoops and funny things happen in March Madness! If Duke continues to play well on road and home, I would tab them as a Final 4 team. And of course, Boeheim is always a threat in the tourney - especially this year with such a great team.

I like St. Louis to be a sleeper...but I did last year too, and they lost to Oregon in 2nd round I think.

Not a strong Top 25 teams as I've seen in most years...all very beatable.
Watch out for Memphis and UConn too...just my thoughts

I say the same thing every year: "This year there is going to be so many upsets. I can't wait." No reason to change gears now. There are a handful of potential 4- and 5-seeds who can make a deep run. Mix in the possibilty of a 10+ seed making a deep run = awesome March Madness.
I might need 2 red markers to fill out my brackets this year haha.

I tend to disagree. There are a few teams at the top that are wildly better than the rest of the country.

Syracuse and a healthy MSU being two of them.

Yeah add MSU to the list. When fully healthy, they will be a force. Also helps that they have one of the best coaches.

Two teams that could win on any given day with size and shooting: New Mexico and OU. They could absolutely go on rolls to the Final 4, they match up well with the top 5s.

Anyone on Stephen Austin is sharp, they lost the conf championship last year and are steamrolling the league again. They'd be a strong 13 seed.

The past 4 tourneys have had huge surprises so each year it gets more and more wild. But while I used to root for big upsets I now root for the best overall teams to advance because it makes for better games in the elite 8 and final 4 rds

You always have top-tiered teams make it deep, and there's nothing wrong with that. They generally provide viewers an enjoyable watching experience; I got no problem with that. But it's also great to watch a Cinderella story..it's an element to March Madness that elevates it to another level of awesomeness. That's just my opinion.

well considering 4 out of the past 6 champions were clear favorites before the tournament started, this year is drastically different.

It's nice when the small schools fare as well as Butler did on 2010 but not fun when a George Mason gets run off the final 4 floor like they did in 06 or Butler 2011 in the final vs uconn. I just wanna see good quality hoops from beginning til end

homie I hear what you're saying with the Butler and George Mason comparison. Wichita St was fun to watch last year. Gotta wait to see what their road could potentially look like but I wonder if they'll pull a Gonzaga of last year.

this year's not different until the tourney starts and upsets occur. True that 4 of the last 6 winners were huge faves but that's expected because cinderellas slipper always comes off unless you're Villanova 1985. Name a small school that has won it all? U cant. None have. But upsets have been all the rage the past 4 tourneys (2010 to 2013) as more 1 seeds have lost prior to the final 4 than any other 4 year stretch in tourney history. I've filled out a bracket every year since 1987 believe me it hasn't been more crazy to pick than the last 4 years

not to pick the champions of the last 4 years picking UCONN and UK to win it all was clear as day. Honestly 2 of the easiest future bets I've ever made or just predictions of sports in general. Throw in unc in 2009 and it was just as clear for them too. Basically was NBA players vs college kids.

Yep I agree no dominant team they can all be had. Huge drop off at the top from what we saw with Florida 06 and 07 and then the top seeds all made the final 4 in 08. UNC dominated 09. 2010 Kentucky was the best team but lost to west va I think in the elite 9. The dominance has really fallen off at the top especially this yr
