My wifes dad is Black and her mother is half Mexican. She's truly a mut. Her grand father was a mexican. So quarter white, quarter mexican and half black. Family reunions are a good mixture of cultures

How do any of you outside of CA apply for Disability insurance and what is the normal benefit amount in relation to your wage. Do you apply through the Fed govt? In CA all employees pay 1% of gross wages to CASDI. If you are injured you apply for CA SDI and receive 50% of your pay tax free while you are injured.

I pay approx $40 a month in CASDI. Since CA is one of the highest taxed states I did a salary calculation in other states and noticed that other state pay little to no state disability. In New York I'd pay 97 cents a month and $2 in New Mexico.

Thanks ahead of time for your answers.

You have a good memory, Manny. My wife is very good friends with her and I go to school with her. And although we have season tix, we don't go as much as we used to.

Annually I make from 70k-100k, depends on OT and the amount of call I take. Far from too much money however. GauchoJake pays in taxes just a little less than I gross. Opie probably pays more in SS than i make.

No, it's not a joke. I work in a big hospital with 1000's of employees, we can swipe our badges and it will payroll deduct the price. More of a convenience than anything.

Why is 401K Retire 'after tax'? Normally, 401k deductions are pre-tax.

    And 401k loan?

possibly roth 401k(since he already lists 401k in the pre-tax area as well)
401k loan is when you borrow from 401k

    yep, you got it.

the traditional 401k is the pre-tax
the roth 401k is the post tax
the 401k loan is just paying back a loan i took out of my 401k

I think i contribute 7% of my check to Roth and 3% to traditional 401k

I'm not sure about this year. Daytona 500 still 11 days Away.

When tony sends me the paycheck after I win that race ill post it here.

    Jk.

When I was working as surgical 1st assistant in surgery it was too damn much I know that. But of course that was taxes, ins, 401, ect ect. Bright side is Tennessee has no state income tax which was always nice
