Oh.. also in regards to the ** situation, I was told via Bodog that I can only request a $3K payout at a time... will this be a problem to get $3K at a time without going through a background check??? I used ** about five years ago via phone and it was like I was interviewing for the FBI!!

It is really about the pipeline available to each book. It's not that it takes them 10 days from the date of request to get money and go to a ** office. It's that each ** office only allows X number of transactions per month from a specific merchant. When sending a check becomes a problem, all the requests fall to the other limited tranfer methods.

Bodog should have more outlets available. They need to get more ** offices and more check processors and it sounds like that is coming. If not, they will be re-evaluated but, many of the good books have been in this position as of late and more will be. These books suck it up and give the truth, which only leads to more questions, but have to get it done another way without lies or bogus excuses.

One of the bank accounts the check processor used was closed so some of the pre-made checks have to be resent. They should cover all fees incurred due to this. It doesn't make it any less of a burden to wait for your money but for what it is worth, we can tell you that many are reporting getting their's in 3 weeks.

If you have not already sent your account ID to Assistance@SportsbookReview.com and have waited over three weeks, you are welcome to do so.

is this email address gonna be answered in the quick response or should i say no response like in the other thread about bodog payouts ("Bodog: checks by courier changed to USPS with 1 month delays") I emailed that one like over a week ago and still no response. I will try this one hope this one someone is actually monitoring or checking periodically.

I suspect DOJ heat is playing a large part in all of this. When Bodog was clamouring for attention, cover of Forbes, PR person in LA, Nightline, Vancouver Sun, Globe and Mail, etc., etc. their owner thought it was his God-given right to be glorified as the swaggering genius he thought he was. I think he knows now that it's all over, except for the crying. BTW, did anyone read about Ayre's cousin, Joe "Cooter" Francis? Apparently he was blubbering and having anxiety attacks when they locked his arrogant ass up. For those who don't know, Joe Francis is of "Girls Gone Wild" fame. When the full story is told on Calvin Ayre, there will be reference to him blubbering as well. He'll blame his lawyers, his accountants, his partners-in-crime, his mommy, his daddy, his sister. Hell, he'll probably blame Biffsnaked,Shuswapper, Pauly Ponzi, Coldeyeme and Erich Brunnhuber.. But in the end, he will have squirreled away enough money to last a lifetime, as he likes to brag, and disgruntled bettors will grumble for years after how they can't believe how "Good ol Cal" ran off with their money. Here's hoping he "goes inside with an asshole and comes out with a manhole." BTW, my name is Bill, and I don't smoke pot or fly an airplane. And in answer to that low-life who asked me last year on MajorWager if I still miss my kids, of course I do, but I take consolation in the idea that one day they will know that I am an honest man. Not the type of low-life that would sell his soul to the devil; read " organised-crime". I guess the one thing worse in life would be to function as an "ass-licker" to the aforementioned front man for the mob. By the way, Cued, are you that guy at the foot of Granville?

JMO, but anyone who keeps a sizable sum at any book that is trying to stay above the radar (bodog) is playing with fire. Just becasue DOJ attorneys haven't been heard from in a while doesn't mean they are on vacation. The next big headline about a jailed loudmouth off-shore book owner is just around the corner.

Calvin Ayre is a lowlife. Always has been, always will be. He's ****ed countless people over before, and I have no doubts he'll do it again in the near future. I'm sorry, but when someone already has the M.O. to run off with folks' money like he has, it's only a matter of time before they do it again.

If you lose your money at BoDog you're a mother****ing fool that almost deserves to have it stolen and most likely would have lost it elsewhere anyways (those are as strong of words as you'll here from me).

No, it will be not be useful. It will be useless as on the son of a pig farmer's boar. Because Calvin Ayre and his family, in their supreme arrogance, and with money he stole in a stock fraud, needlessly have kept my children from me for eleven years, I contacted the Antiguan authotities to alert them to the head of Bodog's history as an untrustworthy person. http://www.gambling911.com/Vancouver...re-092506.html To all those who have money with Bodog, I know you will want it back after reading this article. Ayre has been making veiled threats to me because I, with the help of family members, have revealed his shady past to all who will listen, and, I hope this is useful to the online gambling public. In closing, the Antiguan govt. did not bother replying to my e-mail. I also sent them the actual paperwork detailing the reasons Ayre was barred from trading. http://www.bcsc.bc.ca/disciplined_person.asp?id=958 Cheers!

I'd be interested to hear more of your story Shus. Bill, I respect your opinion and really appreciate all you do, but when you back up Calvin and Co. like you are I know it's all about the money. I'm not saying I would or wouldn't do what you're doing, but nobody without a personal stake that has had personal contact with him would ever vouch for him. He and his BoDog cronies are as low of lifeforms as it comes, and HE WILL **** this board over as he has countless others.

Exactly. The only reason Bodog has not been taken down yet is because the Feds realized once they started looking at Bodog that there was no way a sexually dysfunctional, egomaniacal small-time hood like Calvin Ayre could ever have attained the heights he has conned his way to without the guidance of bigger players. I don't think Ayre would have made it out of Las Vegas last summer if he had attended his much-ballyhooed Bodog Conference. He stated after cancelling it that he had been tipped off by "a source in law-enforcement". No doubt the Feds were thrilled by that statement, coming from a man who they knew had a history of involvement in drug-smuggling in the late eighties. http://www.majorwager.com/forums/mes...s-article.html Long story short, when they close the book, pardon the pun, on Bodog, all bettors money will go down the same deep, dark hole as the NetTeller money. All money that hasn't gone into real-estate hidden by the lovely Calvin Ayre.

Big Bollocks. You seem a little confused, buddy. I'm backing up Calvin and Co.? Yes, I have endeavoured to expose the Bodog purported owner as the career criminal that he is. I mentioned in my earlier posts he has made veiled threats to myself and my brother. He claims to be a billionaire. He knows where I live. If I named the OC group I know he is involved with, I'm done, if it's not already too late. I read a post by Russ Hawkins, the Major Wager guy. He said Ayre had warned him to be on the look-out for, and these are Ayre's words, "a disgruntled brother-in-law looking for money." Just one more kick in the teeth from ol' Cal. Thinking that money will cure all problems. This from a man who claims to have had sex with 8000 people, yet has never bothered to have his own children or even a relationship. He has been quoted, "It wouldn't be fair to the woman". No kidding! Getting back to Russ Hawkins, last summer I had tipped him off to the very damaging article on Ayre by the Vancouver Sun. The Major convinced me that he wanted to expose Ayre for the bastard that he is, so I foolishly trusted him with info that could have brought me a lot of trouble. I found out later that he had tipped Ayre off. Say, doesn't he drive a Range Rover too?

Shuswapper, usually anyone associated with gambling or betting for that matter will not have a savory past. I am not saying everyone but usually if your in the gambling industry it comes with the territory. I think this is a risk that some people don't realize. Even behind big corporate gambling machines like Vegas Casinos look at their past.

well, i guess it is a good sign....

that bodog is honoring their ** requests......maybe the check is really in the mail after all.

kind of off topic.....i heard on an espn radio show called "pokers edge" (kind of a lame show, reminds me of the "delicious dish" radio show on saturday night live) that the 2007 WSOP main event may NOT be honoring seats won online by american players because of the US online poker ban.........something about not accepting 3rd party registration with dot.com sites that accept players from the US.

has anyone else heard anything about this? im not trying to start a rumor, just saying what they said on the show. anyone that has any more information about this, please share with the group.

here is the link to the podcast http://sports.espn.go.com/espnradio/podcast/index

scroll down to the "ESPN Shuffle" and click on the "The Poker Edge: 4/18" link. its at about the 13 minute mark of the podcast of the radio show.

i suppose they could get around this by buying a seat in the players name.......but still.......anyways, thats all i got.

    peace out

I got a check from bodog about 2 months ago, cashed it, and then a week or so later they sent me an email saying the check had banking errors and not to cash it and that they sent me a new check in the mail.

So my bank charged me $10 and charged me the money that I had already spent.

Got a new check a few days later, waited a couple weeks then cashed that.

Just another email saying that check also had banking errors and not to cash it.

So now they are sending me a new one. I will be getting charged another $10 along with them taking that money for the amount of the check out.

Is it safe to say I should not cash anymore checks from them and take my losses?

We know they are paying their **'s on a timely basis, but it still pisses me off that they continue to say the reason for the check delays is the huge post-March Madness volume. If that's true, shouldn't somebody somewhere on some major bulletin board have received a check in the month of April? I have not read a single account of a check received during this month and I wish the SBR staff would focus their energy on finding the TRUE reason for the check delays.
