    You can tell how well a book is doing by this

    Placing 2 bets a minute or two apart and comparing the ticket numbers

    I just made 2 bets 2 minutes apart, one ticket number was xxx0190 and the next was xxx298

    That's over 100 bets in 2 minutes at 3pm on a wednesday

    That's pretty busy for a book that isn't 5dimes or Bookmaker right?

    that's not necessarily correct

    many books will have different numberings for different sports as well as for different types of wagers

    That could be true, in this case though all 9 digits are the same except for the last 3, and it was the same sport/bet type. I have actually made several bets recently with the same approximate number change per minute across different sports also

    Not every heavy volume translates into a good business model
    So by saying "100 bets per minute = The book is doing great" is just plain wrong
