What the hell are you talking about? Blount and Lynch don't go in the same sentence ever unless Lynch is smoking one.

maybe because brady has nobody worth a damn to throw to and the pats D couldn't keep manning off the field...what did thomas do last game at foxboro when talib was on him? he was non existent...

DT score the game tying TD to send that game into OT on Talib. Talib also had the wind and the cold to back his @ss up. In the Championship game DT caught a 29 yard pass on Talib before he went out. You guys like to use stat that favors your argument but leave
out other sh1t like the elements which usually affects the passing game. Lagerette Blount was unstoppable in his last few games and everyone here thought he was going to have his way against Denver. Denver finally made him look mediocre now you guys simply disregard how great he was before.

Here is an example of how little many of you guys in here know about Vegas books. Did you know that every shop is tied together by a rather intricate computer system that allows a book to immediately send information about a large wager and the picture of the person who placed that large wager to every other book in Vegas? They do this, in part, to stop people from trying to play middles, and in part, to make sure that every book is on the same page odds wise. Books have an agreement so they can lay off wagers on another book if they get too much action on one team. If another book is getting too much action on another team, they will just lay the action off on each other. There are ways of beating this, but you must know what you are doing. Many shops will NOT take large wagers from a person they do not know. This is why Bull Shi**ers like Lakerboy get caught every time they open their mouths. He never has made a large wager in Vegas. He also is just about pennyless in real life. He is known as one of the worst 'Cappers around. Sharps are aware of this. Sharps also do not have to hide their action because the books still get the same vig from them as they do from Joe Pub. There are ways of making Joe Pub wager the way the books want them to wager. Sharps and the books work together more times than most people know about. See "Bait and Switch".

My local is pretty accurate with which side the squares are on. If the action is really one sided the juice is usually moved up to -125 while remaining steady with the current line. My local prefers to increase the juice instead of moving the line because they're confindent public action will lose. If the line remains -110 by kickoff then the action is about even and the local profits no matter what.

Does your local take large wagers? Does he have sharp guys? Otherwise the juice won't matter. Most locals copy lines. If he is just shading to -125 then he is no sharp guys.

Again we have someone who knows NOTHING about how Vegas operates. All runners in Vegas are known byu the shops they do business with. As long as they lay about the same amount of money on each side, there are no problems. Please do not tell me that you actuall think that a runner takes your action ONLY. You know, if you ever actually eperienced any of this, you would know what you were talking about, but since we BOTH know that you have not, it is best to read and learn.

For what it's worth the Broncos defense has beaten the #2 offense Eagles, #5 Chargers, #7 Patriots, and #9 Redskins.

It's not worth much--beating the eagles in sept & also losing to NE & SD WEEK 12 & week 15 is more indicative of how poor the D really is

Why would the public favor Seattle? They have a ho-hum offense with a quarterback who people consider to be a "game manager." Sure, the defense is great, but defenses aren't what titillate the average bettor.

The Broncos have all the hallmarks of a public darling. They have the big 6'5" first ballot HOF record setting quarterback....a guy who will be making his 3rd Super Bowl appearance and chasing his 2nd ring, not to mention the TV commercials and the family pedigree. The receiving corps is hands-down the best in the league, headlined by a prototypical modern day gamebreaker in Demaryius Thomas. The running game is efficient. "Squares" love a sexy offense and the Broncos have it in spades.

Denver has a more storied history, with Elway hoisting the Lombardi trophy twice. Seattle has, um, Matt Hasselbeck? ..Meh "Manning" is synonymous with football. "Wilson" makes volleyballs.

So this notion that the squares are or will be backing the Seahawks in droves is silly and unfounded. It's probably just the OP's attempt to convince himself that Denver is the right side (which it could very well be, but not because it's a public fade).
I'm an unbiased Broncos fan and I agree with your points.

The worst part about SBR is all the people talking about squares and sharps. "Your a square for that bet" or "all the sharp money is on this side so you are a square", its fcking corny. Sounds like a bunch of teenagers man......screw where all the money is going, handicap the game to the best of your ability, provide facts and/or reasons why you think your play is profitable and leave it at that. I'm so sick of hearing about sharps and squares I swear its so fcking lame. /rant

As for the substance of this thread, I think both Denver's defense and Seattle's offense are both being a bit overlooked by the majority of bettors. A lot of backers make threads with their picks and post about who is going to win the Seattle defense vs. Denver offense matchup, and honestly that is not where the game is going to get won. We already know both of those sides of the ball are going to come out strong, the winner is going to be determined by which team's weaker side is going to shine through.

For those of you who have not locked in an early bet and are still handicapping, virtually all of your time should be spent capping Denver's defense and Seattle's offense, not the other way around.

The thing about all this sharp/square mumbo jumbo is that people act like there's this crystal clear divide where the squares represent the majority, and the sharps the opposite......as if we're talking about Autobots and Decepticons. It's seldom that black and white.

I don't have any evidence to support it, but my personal guess is that the squares like Denver, and the sharps are split. I don't think there's a true sharp side in this matchup. Bet accordingly.

i agree the broncos d under del rio needs to be respected but the pats scored a good chunk of their points on the colts off turnovers which gave them short fields and completely demoralized the colts
