One angle I liked to take last year was fading teams that have just gotten done playing TCU, and I will do that again this season, it has worked so far this year
West Virginia needed overtime to beat Texas Tech after playing TCU
Kansas State got blown out by Kansas after playing TCU
Baylor got beat bad by Texas Tech after playing TCU
This is because TCU is such a bad team that teams have an easy go at it against the Frogs and then all of a sudden in their next game are playing a team that is a lot better, so it takes time to adjust. Especially on the road.
Which is why I like Kansas against Oklahoma State at home. I know that OKST won there last year, I know that Kansas lost at home to SDSU earlier this year, but Oklahoma State was getting preferrential treatment against TCU on calls, the refs called a very tight game there weren't a lot of fouls. Will be the opposite at the Phog today, no way OKST gets beneficial calls against Kansas. Also Oklahoma State did nothing inside against TCU, it was all done with perimeter shooting and 3 point shooting, which is bad because TCU has no interior post prescence at all.
Kansas is a different kind of team, they get things done inside, and Oklahoma State will have to hit outside jump shots today to have a chance and its not a good idea to rely on a team to hit perimeter jumpers on the road. Oklahoma State has not impressed away from home this year. Oklahoma State also will not have a rebounding edge, they are not a good rebounding team and Kansas is.
This has all the makings of one of those typical games at the Phog that seems like it will be close but ends up winding up in a Kansas blow out.
Kansas -5.5
