Just as I accept that you're different than me and that's fine, you need to accept that many others can be like me or can be like you or in between ... and people can change and there is no one way to define everything.

On the same time "shopping addiction" is not a major problem that at least I'm aware of ... some girls are addicted to buying lots of shoes, but how much does it affect their lives? how many people do you know who ruined their lives because of "shopping addiction"?

Gambling has proven itself to be a destructive form of entertainment for millions of people, and that's a fact.
So you can't compare the intentions of a grocery store against the ones of a bookmaker.

But I do agree tobacco companies who create cigarettes are no different, and they do kill people as well... but leave the grocery industry out of it ... selling fruits & vegetables or even clothes is fine ... if anyone wants to buy lots of it I'm sure he won't kill himself because of it ... except for very rare cases of idiots who can't control their finances ... but they probably reflect a tiny percentage of the population whilst with gambling you see many more people affected by it.

I definitely know more people who have financial problems because they spend too much money on things they dont need than I do people who have financial problems because they gamble too much.

As far as grocery industry...wtf are you talking about? I never mentioned anything about the grocery industry.

My whole point here is that your thread title is blatantly false. Gambling responsibly is absolutely not a myth. If you can accept that people gamble differently then you should have no problem acknowledging that that some people can bet responsibly.

Nobody wins long term and everyone is bound to lose and that is a fact. You might win one season and the next but you will give it all back, add to that is the time and energy you spend on capping or any type of bullshit before betting. The adrenaline of winning that secretes dopa mine in your brain is what makes it so addicting.

Losing is inevitable in gambling.

Every gambler must experience losing, there is no 1 single person in the world who could always bet and win - so dealing with a loss could be a problem. Some "chase" after the losses, some don't ... and the way people react can change ... some "solid" guys can be strong and never get a 'meltdown' after a loss ... but it takes 1 game, 1 time, to break that trend and make them ruin everything they work on for weeks/months/years.

Yet I find it amusing some guys here are so "proud" to say they've been gambling for years and they are not bankrupt ... well, I've been gambling for years as well and I never went bankrupt neither ... but it's the amount of money and time that I spent on it that would never return ... so all you guys so "proud" of yourself be honest and ask yourself how much did you spend all these years? Even if you enjoyed it you have to be honest and recognize this wasn't a cheap activity.

dude you're a moron for posting here, if you seriously want to quit just leave all gambling sites, friends, acquaintances that gamble behind...its not impossible to quit but it requires a total lifestyle change...by even discussing gambling and keeping it alive in a corner of your mind its inevitably going to resurface...the world revolves around money..nice things cost money...go work on a masters in a field that is lucrative, education and career might help..otherwise the day will come when funds are low and you will be right back in the mix..bet on that.

As I said early in this thread I am not active in this forum but mainly checking this topic, and participate here.
I dedicate on average less than 5 minutes a day to this forum, and once again I could care less about gambling sites, the forum is different because it's a forum, it's not a casino.
