I'm Watching An NBA D-League Game Right Now.....

There are more people on the benches than in the stands. I wonder how much of a bath the NBA takes on this league. Single A League in baseball has better attendance than this.

the NBA doesnt have the D- League for revenue.

its just a way to keep these guys off the street corners for a few years and once in awhile
one of these thugs will surprise everyone and make it big in the NBA

the d-league would instantly increase its viewership many 100 times if books would put out daily betting lines for that league

Is it bad? I mean most nba games are so D league must be a train wreck. Calling it the D league is also a massive marketing failure. Nba should be streaming these games for free.

    What game are you watching?

I've been to a few of the Maine Red Claws games and they draw decent enough. They're also playing in a smaller, newly renovated Exposition Building and not an 8,000-seat arena. They probably draw a couple thousand and game and they're popular around here.

It would also help them if they treated it like Double-A and Triple-A baseball and sent players down to rehab for a game before returning to the NBA. Celtics are talking about sending Rondo to Portland for a couple of home games. I'll go see that

According to ESPN's Marc Stein, there are three basic levels of D-League player salaries: $25,000, $19,000, and $13,000.

No one makes $30K unless they were drafted or are on an NBA roster. They make peanuts. There are a few good articles out there about the D-League MVP having to borrow money to just pay his bills. They also get $40 per diem (not sure if that's only on the road)

We have a team here in Iowa the Iowa Energy and it is treated like the La Lakers are in La.Plenty of coverage on tv and in the newspapers.I know where in the middle of know where here in the Corn fields but for a bad product they treat it like the NBA.They get more coverage then the New Hockey Team. They both play in the same building and the energy get all the better dates yet the Hockey team is beating the energy in attendance but the basketball team gets great coverage and the hockey team gets zero.

Used to go to the maine lumberjacks back in college with a few buddies.
It was fun as shit, 133-130 type games, cheap beer. Good times.
A couple of the guys would show up for pick-up games in the offseason.
Rufus harris, champ godbolt...can`t make this shit up.
