As a huge fan and alumni, here are my quick thoughts.

- 2nd least talented team Stoops has had
- The Big 12 sucks. That's the only reason OU won 10 games
- OU wasn't deep to begin with and has four starters out
- OU has good WRs but the QBs are horrendous and can't get them the ball
- I think OU will play well since no one expects them too and still lose by 20.

I'm going to be consuming a lot of alcohol tonight at a watch party but honestly Bama could name their score. Since Bama likes to run and be physical, I think they'll probably only score around 30 points but who knows. Maybe Saban will want to make a statement

So yeah, as a Sooner fan, I think if we play well we will lose like 30-10. OU will get lucky and hit a deep pass or get a return for Saunders so we might score at least one TD.

Hope I'm wrong but it's going to take a miracle.

Only play I would consider is Oklahoma +17, but passing as of now. There is precedent here as last time Alabama lost its last game after being undefeated going in and having national title hopes, it lost this Sugar Bowl to Utah. Add in back-to-back championships and three in the last four years and I REALLY think Bama will be disinterested here. But like I said, pass for now.

Im leaning OU. Especially if their starting QB is back. The only decent defense bama faced was VT. If I remember correctly, I think bama's D score 2-3 TDs in that game. Bama's offense isnt what it has been the past few years. I havent made my bet yet, but where I'm looking right now. GL

Neither OU QB is very good. If you're talking about Knight, you might want to check out his stats against Louisiana-Monroe and West Virginia earlier in the year.

Yeah, I feel like if Bama passed all game they would score like 45 points on my Sooners. Since they like run too and that eats clock, they'll probably only score in the 30s in win by about 20 instead of like 35.

Won't matter if they don't want to be there though. And Bama defense was actually scored on vs. the better teams they faced, a lot of of their great defensive numbers came vs. a putrid non-conference schedule.

Not only is it sill a BCS game, but it's McCarron's last game. Oklahoma pulled off a miracle to beat Oklahoma State to get into this game so I don't think motivation will be an issue for either team.

The more I cap this game the more I'm leaning towards the under or no play at all. I don't think there is much of any edge on either side of that spread

And for the record the only big spread game i gave points was the ducks. Took the points on all the other games and some small bets on certain ML but here bama rolls easy

On principle, +17 is too many points to give a well coached team in a BCS game. And admittedly, I wouldn't mind seeing the Tide get humbled here. But that's really just wishful thinking. Oklahoma is sitting at their worst F/+ ranking since 2005 and when you break them down, they just don't do anything really well, so there's not really one element that they can lean on to give them a chance at winning.

Worse still, the thing the Sooners have really struggled with on defense this season is in stopping the run. Their defense is among the worst in the FBS both in getting stops on 3rd/4th and short, and in generating negative plays. They also don't generate many sacks, and when presented with 40+ running plays from Yeldon/Drake and McCarron play-action passing, I feel like they're going to have a really hard time getting off the field.

If the Sooners' gameplan for today is play more of a ball control offensive style, and they can keep their defensive line relatively fresh into the second half, the +17 has some potential, although I think the 1H +10 probably has a better chance of hitting. I won't be laying -17, but I think Alabama will score 31+ with relative ease, and absolutely dominate the second half. Props on Yeldon/McCarron would probably be a good idea, if available.

I find it hard to believe Bama won't field a solid effort offensively, but they might get gashed for a couple of big plays on defense. I really doubt they want their season to end on that Auburn Kick 6 followed by an unimpressive bowl effort. Saban doesn't like losing.

utah was an embarrassment for bammer and theyre consciously using that game to prevent a let down tonight...bammer can send seniors out 4-0 in bcs games so thats something to play for

they will roll but i just worry about a back door by oklahoma with such a high line
