How to fix the Dallas Cowgirls

    How to fix the Cowboys:

    1. Get rid of Tony Romo
    2. Get rid of Dez Bryant
    3. Get rid of Jason Garrett
    4. Hope Jerry Jones passes away as that is the only way he will cede control of the team

1-3 can be done right now, and should. #4 might take a while though

The play calling is pathetic. Throw when you need to run. Run when you need to throw.

#1 - Jerry needs to step down as GM and just be the the owner like Bobby Kraft

#2 - Fire Jason Garrett and the entire coaching staff, training and development staff

#3 - Trade Dez Bryant for a top pick in the draft and take a QB

#4 - Trade Tony Romo for some more picks

#5 - Lock up DeMarco Murray long term

    #6 - Wait 1-2 years

25 teams would fall all over themselves for Romo. And 32 would do the same to have Dez.

    Don't be an idiot.

1 and 2 are on point.

The rest of them to include locking up Murray long term are bad ideas.

    Dez is a beast.

Romo is a fantastic QB if his coaches weren't so shit. Get Jimmy Johnson on the sidelines as he has proven to at least have competent game plans and play calling, and you would see a pro-bowl QB out of Romo. Hell man, if Dallas goes out and hires Whisenhunt I think Romo would be able to realize post season success. What Ken did with Rivers this year was nothing short of miraculous.

You never lock up a running back unless he is some transcendent AP type talent - and even then you're playing with fire.

Even though you're a raging lib, I totally agree with your analysis here.

FYI....Romo has been to 3 Pro Bowls.

But I agree, due to what he's been surrounded with, very little of his talent has been properly utilized.

3 pro-bowls? Good god, and people think the problem is Romo?

I edited my previous post to add in the idea of hiring Ken Whisenhunt. His downfall with the Cardinals was the absolute lack of real QB's once Warner left. I think he would be perfect for you guys.

The play calling currently reminds me of a 10 year old playing Madden.

    I agree...play calling is pathetic.

I saw a stat from last week that if Dallas had strictly run the ball all 2nd half against Green Bay, and never even gained a positive yard, there was no way they could've lost the game.

    That's upsetting.

There is an organizational problem in Dallas. It's not Tony Romo, and certainly not Dez Bryant. You start with Garrett and his staff and then ultimately the GM (who is also the owner) in Jerry Jones.

17/27 2 TD and the 1 pick where Dez fell down. Not too mention the 3 huge throws he made on that final drive, including the 4th & goal from the 12 to win.

Pretty damn good game if you ask me.

Yes. Those double digit leads he blows with his shitty tackling and pass coverage will always haunt him.

Do you realize how it sounds when you actually say Romo's "blown more double digit leads than any QB."

I don't think he's elite. I simply think he's a very good QB. Not in the Brady, Brees, Manning level....but a very good nfl QB. Never argued that he doesn't make his share of bonehead plays, but the stats on the other side don't lie, either.

I understand that you're in a bad mood tonite, pal. All of Michigan must really be hurting right now.
