None 99% of the time. On the odd occasion maybe a player's pts average against a team or something like that.
What do you focus on?
Situational betting mainly. Line movement and matchups are also stuff to consider.
How much time do you spend handicapping a given game?
I look at lines in the morning, let them sink in and give myself pretty much the rest of the day to decide what I'm doing, except if I like a game enough to just bet it immediately. In the evening have a quick look at the line moves and bet the games I wanted to. Quickly check SBR to see if I may have overlooked a game. Focusing on one actual game maybe about 2 minutes. Not a big research guy, it's not that I can't be bothered but I just don't think things like stats and injuries matter in the NBA.
Do you look at trends?
Situational trends, yes, a lot. All about knowing who's gonna show up that night in the NBA. But it's more about knowing them than researching them.
Do you "go with your gut" or stay emotionless?
If you've been in this gambling thing for quite a while, you develop a feel for these games and if you know that feel is good then by all means you should pay very close attention to it. It's a good enough reason to back out of or go ahead and bet a game IMO.
Do you ever bet your favorite teams?
Yes. No-one knows a team/player better than a fan. Now you have to know if you can stay objective. I can fade them at times also but not in important games.
Do you prefer missionary or doggystyle? (Wait, what?)
Tell me how you handicap games. Im gonna start posting some plays soon so you can see I can run with the best of them.
