The SEAHAWKS are practically a lock to win the NFC -- But are +100 some places

The SEAHAWKS are practically a lock to win the NFC. Several sportsbooks have them to win the NFC anywhere from +100 to -140. sportsbook.com has them -110, a few lesser known books have +100. I think this is absurd. They have HFA locked up, they would have to lose 3 games to not get HFA and even if they lost 3 of their last 4 they would get HFA with a Saints + panthers loss somewhere. Saints and Panthers split home and home, and the Seahawks go 1-3 in their last 4 and the Hawks still get HFA. So really the HAWKS have HFA locked up. They have to win 2 home games to win the NFC. They will do this easily, in fact they will likely win those 2 games by 20 +. Tell me who in the NFC can win in Seattle ?

I already said the Saints will win the next matchup @ Seattle.....hard for people to get their heads around that.

I don't believe they can win it. They are a good team, very good but the Saints can beat them if they actually try.

You don't believe the Saints were trying to win and get in the drivers seat for HFA the other night when they got demolished ?

Honestly I don't think the Saints, 49ers, or Panthers can even stay close at Seattle. None of them have been able to and that crowd will just get louder as SB gets closer. If the Seahawks have a bad game, they may only win by 6 or 7, otherwise they will roll whoever they play in the NFC. Every playoff team in the NFC needed to pray that the Seahawaks did not get HFA. If you get the Hawks at your place, you might beat them. But you gotta go to Seattle, you gonna lose. Russell Wilson has never lost a home game. Even the year the Hawks sucked and finished 7-9 and made the playoffs, they still kicked the Saints butt in the playoffs because the game was in Seattle. That year Saints were like 12-4 and seahawks were 7-9. it didn't matter because the game was in Seattle.

I think the playoffs are a diff beast, I agree Seattle are monsters but I also think we have not seen the best game from the Saints or the 49 ers. On any given day turnovers are a great equalizer.

Considering Tampa, Tennessee & Carolina all had legit shots to win @ Seattle - any of the playoff teams will have a shot with the correct game plan and also not turning it over.

Decent chance they'll match up against two of Carolina/SF/New Orleans in their games. Any of those teams can beat them... they're going to be a tough out though.

panthers havnt been to sea lately.. last 2 years sea played carolina in carolina and escaped with narrow victories.. i dont think it matters to panthers where the gm is played tho, they wont be rattled by the environment plus defense and cam travel..only team i think can do it, niners get shook in that building, saints aint beating any of the physical teams in the playoffs,, i guess you could give det a punchers chance with their front 4 and that offense but they too stupid to win a gm like that.. panthers gotta be the team to go to sea and knock them off..

This is not directed at 2dabank

Packers were supposed to be unbeatable at home in 2007, how'd that work out?

Even if you get even money on Seattle getting to the Super Bowl, several things must happen.
    1) They have to earn home field through out. It looks good right now, but it's not locked up yet.
They still have to beat SF at their place, then jet coast to coast and beat the Giants at the Meadowlands.
Do that, Seattle gets home field through out.
    2) Win back to back playoff teams at home, providing Seattle wins those two road games, Niners are tough at home, and don't think Giants are going to roll over and play dead either.
    3) Let's say Seattle needs to win their last two games at home to earn the #1 overall seed, for you to collect your even money prop bet, you would pretty much need to win a 4 team, Seattle/Seattle/Seattle/Seattle parlay.

That's a lot of 'moving parts' for an even money wager

There is ZERO chance seattle loses at home in the playoffs if wilson is the qb. ZERO. Books love to play the field. It gives them the advantage. Carolina is the only team in the nfl that can beat seattle in a playoff game in seattle. The only reason is because they have a great defense.

No, that's a part of multi part scenario.
Reading comprehension is not your strong suit, is it?

And even if it was, and it was not, I'll slow down this time so you can understand it.

You think it's going to be a walk in the park for the Seahawks to fly coast to coast, waltz into the Meadowlands, in that wind tunnel, in the dead of winter, and expect the Giants to roll over and play dead?
What do you think, the bookies are making the Giants a double digit home dog or something?

I'll repeat, beating the Giants, on the road, is one part of a multi part scenario.

Does that clear things up Corky?

Seattle wil probably have to face the 49ers in the divisional round and then whoever wins the south Panthers or Saints in the title game. Hopefully the Panthers for those wishing to view a competitive game. Even money is a fair price.

Putting all ad hominem aside, the answer to your Giants question is YES it will be a walk in the park.

Do I think any future is a good bet, though? NO

the odds of seattle not having HFA is extremely low. SF needs miracle (win all/SEA lose all). carolina and new orleans play each other twice. if they split seattle needs to lose all 4.

It's essentially +100 on a 2 game Seahawks parlay at home against 2 of the following: Panthers, Saints, Lions, 49ers, Cowboys

tell that to alabama, college or not Newton isn't afraid and has been in situations like that and delivered. you either have that gene or you don't. now idk if Carolina is for real but if they get to that spot I'm taking CAR and the points. That Offense will not be shook one bit especially with steve smith leading the pack. and that defense is something else. like said above all it take is a turnover and that crowd will shut the f up. GO NINERS

Anything can happen in sports but every smart bettor would take my Hawks to come out of the NFC right now. Seattle will eventually lose at home but it's probably not going to happen this season. Going back to NC State, Wilson has won 26 straight home games. The offensive line has gotten healthy and the starters are now starting to gel and chances are Percy will be full go for the playoffs just adds to the offense. The defense is the defense.

Carolina is the only team that could come into Seattle in January and pull off the upset. Seattle is in the 49ers head at the CLink. The Saints aren't going to win in the elements. With CJ the Lions always have a punchers chance but I'm good with Sherman on him and Stafford would throw 2 pics minimum in that game. Carolina has the best chance with that defense but Seattle is a horrible match up for Newton.

any more so than panthers d is for wilson? would like to know what you mean by that actually? i mean sea d isnt a good matchup for anyone but the fact they play so much man i would think that would give cam the opportunity to get out in the open field more.. just curious what you mean or you just saying they a bad matchup for any qb which is true..
