OSU ranks #3 in scoring offense, #2 in rushing offense and #6 in total offense. The Rush D is #5 in the country. Pass D is the weakness, but it is a tad skewed because of the combination of OSU scoring quickly (220-52 scoring margin in the 1st quarter) and a strong defensive line that forces teams to throw the ball more than usual just to stay in the game.
Michigan does have the top overall defense in the country. However, they only played three offenses ranked in the top 60 and two of those teams scored four touchdowns. There's nothing for MSU to even compare OSU to. Just a completely different beast.
Mix in the fact that MSU can't take advantage of OSU's weakness in the secondary because they haven't passed well at all this year (ranked #95) and this one could get out of hand quickly.
Indoor stadium, fast track and a virtual home game for OSU because of the fans. Plus, this Ohio State team knows with a win they lock up a trip to Pasadena to play for the crystal football. The coaching advantage OSU has shouldn't be discounted either.
35-17 Ohio State.
