Pretty crazy that no one seems to like the Chiefs

2 weeks ago everyone loved them +7.5 in Denver. They lose that game and the following week and now they are +6.5 AT HOME and nobody likes them.

It's not like Denver rolled them 2 weeks ago. They won by 10. If the line 2 weeks ago was accurate, Denver would not have been more than -2.5 today.

Just crazy to me how quickly public perception changes when it comes to this league.

I'm wondering that myself. Forget the fact that the public is on Denver - did big time money move this line or is it the books moving it?

If you watched them at home last week vs a mediocre Chargers you know why no one likes the chiefs...

KC lost that game trying to play different then what has been winning for them all season. All the talking heads can talk about it how Peyton never got touch and how good the o line was. KC only brought pressure 4 times out of 60 plays. They also say they shut down Charles. Charles averaged 4.9 yards a carry he just didn't get enough touches. Everyone remember the three shots in the redzone and say he got shut down but the number say otherwise.
For some reason KC wanted to get in a shoot out with Den and that's just not their strong suit. If KC plays their game in Arrowhead they can win this.
BTW I assume the line moved cause of the injuries to the defense. Big losses on KC side.

I took em, and youre right, everybody was all over them in denver and "I'm gonna bet them for sure when the games in Kc!" ....maybe not on here, but all the guys at work were saying that shit, now leading up thegame nobody's talking anymore lol.

Chiefs plus 6 for me .

I was on the Broncos the first time around and will be on them again this time (although I teased them big time). Justin Houston being out and Tamba Hali being injured change the dynamics of this game drastically from their last meeting. That hurts the Chiefs defense in a big way and I think Manning will take full advantage. That is your key difference. Chiefs have rode their defense to great success but now it is up to their offense to carry them. I do not think they are capable against a high powered Broncos offense.

Tough game to predict. Denver did not play well last week (remember NE gift-wrapped them 21 points), but the weather played a factor in all of that. Nice weather in KC today. You have to wonder how much of last week's game was a look-ahead one for KC? I like Denver today but not giving the 6 points. Might be a good ML pick.

i didnt bet the 1st gm but i may have said something like "i think they split", and i dont want kc today, lol.. mostly cause they couldnt get to peyton last gm and now they down 2 pass rushers tho.. line may be getting a little out of hand but still hesitant..

Chiefs seem to finally be regressing to the mean. Their D hasn't been anything special the last few weeks due to injury and other factors, and their offense is, well, their offense.

Well all the talking heads were also saying KC has a GREAT defense which they do not. They are just simple good and only look great when playing bad teams and backups yet still had poor run d #'s even during that stretch. That said Queefs offense did open up a bit last week and the weather in KC will not be an issue today. Sunny and in mid 40's so no concerns bout Peyton and the cold. I see pts today boys the ov especially teased down probably not a bad play. See no reason why a pissed off Denver does not go for at least 30 vs a GOOD and now banged up KC defense. Gl

had chiefs won in denver and slaughtered the chargers, would they be +6.5 at home?

    of course not.

so to say previous games dont have any effect on the spread is plain stupid.

In my pickem pool that sets the lines at a point and doesnt adjust, I'm getting Denver -4.5, this is a no brainer right?

if chiefs had won by 50 over the chargers, they would still be +6.5 at home?

damn, some people are beyond stupid.

Noodle arm Manning throws another interception on the road in a big game. Sad he will win MVP over someone playing better like Foles.

I'm on Chiefs. People made too big of a deal that Houston and Hali are out. Regardless Peyton has been pretty average the past 6 games or so. Huge divisional game, I'll take a quality Chiefs team at home getting 6 points. No brainer for me.

So who else bought into the Queefs "great defense"? The Colts defense would even look similar to the 2000 Ravens if playing backup scrubs and busted up o-lines with mostly 2nd/3rd stringers blocking! I buy you books and buy you books...but you just eat the pages!

Their defense is a bit overrated. Front 7 is great, back end could be improved. Cooper and Smith are burnable CB's. I still like Niners, Seahawks, Carolina and Jets defense more than them. Then you can argue between Cards, Rams, Ravens, etc.

That's too bad. You would've made a lot of money betting against them in the playoffs recently ATS.
