Eli Manning is a top player

if your going to say he doesn't get it done in the big games and playoffs...might as well add reggie wayne's name to the mix

I'm a lifelong Giant fan, I appreciate everything Eli has done in the past.
I really was against drafting him in the beginning, he proved me wrong.
He was clutch in those two championship seasons.

Eli was an elite QB, he is not an elite QB anymore.
Eli now makes silly mistakes that he never used to make.
Eli does lead the NFL in most interceptions thrown in the past 3 seasons.

Phil Simms was the most clutch QB the Giants ever had.

Top player in the I'm such a head hung phuckin cry baby category. I would have already addressed the body langue he exhibits. Mama must not have pulled him off the tit as quick as Peyton. Just take a look at Eli, his skin looks fresh out of the WOMB.

So, you are saying Eli started to suck 3 years ago even while winning a Super Bowl less than 2 years ago?

In 2011 Eli had 1 interception in 4 playoff games plus the week 17 must-win over Dallas for the division title.

    What is not true dude?
2013 Eli is a pick machine and is ranked 31st statistically amongst regular starting QB's
Eli has been picked 17 times, the most by any other QB in the NFL not named Geno Smith who has 18.
    Eli's TD/Int ratio is 14:17
Do you know how terrible that is? It's awful.

2012 Eli could not lead the team I root for every Sunday, the team I get drunk to every Sunday, the Giants, to the playoffs.
9 and 7 is mediocre, and statistically speaking, Eli was 14th ranked, middle of the road.
Don't tell me Eli did not have weapons to throw to either in 2012

    2010 Eli sucked ass.
You can tell me Eli threw for 4000 yards that year, and I could tell you he got picked 31 times.

    Tell me?
Take away that magic carpet ride he had in 2011, what exactly has Eli accomplished besides being the most picked off QB in the NFL?

Eli sucks ass this year, was ordinary at best in 2012, had a career year in 2011, what has he done lately?

Eli is NOT a top player anymore and more than likely never will be

That would be your guy Rob.

Now that I have said my piece on Eli, let's not lose sight of the fact Eli has more SB rings than Romo has playoff wins.

    Thanks for playing though

That being said, Eli gets more lucky breaks than maybe anyone in the history of the NFL.

Do you know how many picks of Eli's are because receivers can't hold on to balls he puts right in their hands? The first week against Dallas where he had 4 INT's two were because the running back couldn't catch a simple 2 yard screen pass....that's right SCREEN PASS. That is not on the QB.....and some of his picks seem to go right to the defender with no WR in sight that is because of miscommunication on the route run by the receiver. If the WR hooks left when he is supposed to slant right on a three step drop timing pass.....that isn't Eli's fault.

It's never Eli's fault is it?

Let's say 20 percent (and I'm being kind) of Eli's 161 career interceptions wasn't his fault.
That still leaves a brutal 145 career interception.

Regarding miscommunication by the receiver, isn't the one communicating in the huddle the QB?

Eli WAS NEVER an elite QB. One of the most overrated qb's in NFL history.
He was always on the leaderboard in INT's.
Was blessed with defenses and a horseshoe up his ass to win 2 rings.
Average arm at best, below average decision maker.
The reason he's finally being exploited for how bad he really is this year is because his defense couldn't stop a high school team. When you don't get the ball at the 50 every time on offense, the game is a little bit tougher.

He had an elite year in 2007, that's it. An elite 2007 regular season and a remarkable 2007 post season, but still needed a top of the helmet once in a lifetime catch to get that ring.

He is what he is, a decent to pretty good NFL career QB

    i dunno whos more overrated
romo for being called a good qb or eli being called an elite qb
at least eli got 2 rings, romo cant win a damn game to save his life

calling eli elite is a joke, just look at his body of work
hes been awful to mediocre his entire career
2 playoff run to 2 rings are his claim to fame
the rest of his career has been pretty disappointing
has the dude ever been a serious MVP candidate??

i dont even consider him a HOF QB, he hasnt done enough

Eli was in the 2011 MVP race. Rodgers won it, but Eli beat Rodgers @GB on his way to another Lombardi trophy.

He will 110% not even be mentioned or the hall of fame.

And Romo is better than Eli. Romo never had a defense his whole career basically. Defense wins you games in the NFL.
I hate Romo but I'd take him over Eli without even thinking about it.
They are both non-relevant as far as talking about good qb's though.
Romo could have been a good QB but never winning a playoff game takes him out of the chat.

Eli Manning is not a top quarterback at all.

I'll take Rodgers, Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Andrew Luck, and a whole bunch of other qb's over Eli.
