It wasn't a prediction it was a fact Anthony Davis averaged 20/11/4 in November of 2013.

He is the real deal but the sad thing is they are going to miss the playoffs and the Rockets have their 1st round draft pick.

He may be the best all-around player in the NBA when you add defense into the equation and may be the true MVP of the league, although he won't win it because of his team. Then again, if Pelicans get in playoffs as the eight-seed...

Most NBA execs pick him as their player to start a team with meaning Davis

Understandable given his age, he should have several MVPs in his future.

    In the East maybe.

Including the West? Maybe top 10

Davis is top 3 with LeBron and Westbrook (in his current form). I rate Davis ahead of Harden because all the Beard does is score and he chucks up so many shots that he is shooting 44% despite scoring all those points.

    LT,

Durant? Or Curry? Even Harden is above AD because of what he brings to his team.

I'd even take the rugged Lamarcus Aldridge before the soft Davis. The kid can ball no doubt, but top 3 come'on now

Durant is a non-factor because we are talking about this year (or at least right now). Curry is not nearly the defender that AD is. People just don't realize how great Davis is, I guess because Pels are rarely on national TV. Show me someone else that averages a double-double while shooting nearly 55.0% from the field offensively that also leads the league with almost 3 blocked shots per game while adding 1.5 steals defensively.

Aldridge not was good as AD defensively either.

Yeah but he contributes to his team winning more than AD IMO. And he plays with a grit I dont see in Davis. Same as Westbrook, Harden, Durant, Curry, Lillard and a few more. And that's just the West.

The kid was hurt for a stretch and the Pelicans won without him. How are you arguing he's top 3?

I already presented my case, stat-filler on both ends of the court probably more so than anyone in the league except maybe LeBron. Surround Davis with better players and he would be mentioned in the same breath as the guys you mentioned.

Davis leads the NBA in PER and it is at a historical level right now, only player that ever had a higher PER over a single season since tracking began was LeBron.

And that means about as much as an 8th seed in the playoffs, maybe.

With a team around him that went 4-1 the last time he was injured? And playoffs are IF he can help them close out some games instead of being injured again.

Actually if you sort that by Value Added, HARDEN actually grades out first with Davis second, which I totally disagree with. Of all the MVP candidates being tossed around, I actually think Harden is the LEAST worthy and yet he may win it because all people care about is scoring.

I said it two years ago, Davis is the best player in the league.

He is very limited by his coach and the players around him.
Kris Humpries touches the ball more per possession he is on the court than Davis does.

Now you're really losing me. How do you believe stats back you up in the people v. Unibrow case, but discount them so easily in the MValuableP race.

No chance he gets MVP. LOL. Are these people serious ???? Half ass team, small market, and there must be 5 guys better than him. MVP

Guess I am more surprised than anything else. I don't know WHY Harden grades out so well in VA when all he does is score while Davis contributes in everything.

At all these people who can't afford league pass. Davis is a better shooter than Nowitzki, he is as efficient as it gets. And the Pels have a great roster just have had injuries.

Based on your avatar, there might be some bias here.
