    What happened to OKC?

They lost Harden, but they didnt have him last year either.

They look like they will barely be over 500 when its over.

Take Durant out of the game and OKC doesnt win a single game.

Denver just put 39 points in the first Q on the board -- on the road. Down 11 points.

This is the team to fade ATS.

ibaka and sefolosha are long and lengthy, and terrific defensive players. don't be impulsive. it will probably be san antonio vs. the thunder for western supremacy by season's end.

I saw one OKC games vs the Wizards and I thought the exact same thing. I was blown away how much they were relying on young guys like Lamb, Steve Adams and Reggie Jackson.

strange results happen all season long. players don't bring their best efforts every night. what better way to allow role players grow than during the season. we all know what westbrook, durant, ibaka, fisher, and sefolosha can do.

Well to me it looks like OKC has been playing like crap all year. Long season I know, but they dont seem competitive compared with other teams. You can lose but shouldnt be dominated at home by an average Denver team imo.

they barely beat washington and phoenix, jesus.

Westbrook somehow got away with his out of control play. Now he does not.

They'll win close to 50 games and go out in the second round.

Management won't spend enough money to win it all. OKC was extremely close to winning a title but management let Harden go because they didn't want to end up paying a luxury tax even though OKC sells out every game and has been one of the most profitable teams in the league.

OKC will be fine...they are a hard team to beat in the 4th as looking at Durant too long draws a foul...they are not playing any defense tonight...hope they dun cover tho...lol

they have as good as record as any other team apart from portland (overvalued) and indiana. Two of their losses was against clippers (with ibaka who was playing well ejected) and gsw on a buzzer beater. once westbrick gets his sh1t going you will see pretenders houston/clippers get owned come playoff time.

The offense they relies on a third scorer. It makes up for the nights when Durant and Westbrook can't carry the load. First it was Harden, last year Martin played a worse version of that role and now they don't have it all. Trying to have guys like Ibaka, Lamb, and Jackson pick up that posistion. Some nights they will do it but in the end none of them can do it well.

With all that being said, they will still be a top seed in the West and be in the running for the Western Conference Championship. The odds of them winning it are hurt without that third scorer.

shart post mattyg. that's why im pretty sure theyll be making some trades for the 3rd scorer. could be 4th scorer because ibaka will be having a fair few close to 20 pt games. okc is legit.

The OKC offense does not rely on a third scorer anymore than any other team needs a third scorer. In fact, they rely much less on a third scorer than other teams. KD carried this team in through the first round of the playoffs last year and won a game in the second round all on his own. No third scorer. Not even a second scorer.

The problem is this is a team that has been in the finals and conference finals 3 out of 4 years. They don't get up to play early in the year. They want to peak late and stay healthy. THey're not as young anymore. Look at the Heat losing to the 76er's They haven't gotten worse, they just don't care right now. The Heat will probably 3-peat.

It's all good. Don't look too much into this right now. In fact, wait for them to lose 2-3 in a row and then buy OKC futures for pure value. They'll be in it at the end.

I disagree. Like i said in my post I still think they are top of the Western Conference but if they want a real chance I think they need the 3rd scorer. They are trying to outscore teams in my opinion. Not grind out games 90-85. Without the third scorer it makes it a lot harder to do that.

    Agree to disagree

I did come across as "my way or the highway", didn't mean too

More just adding my opinion to the mix

I certainly agree with no one filling Hardens shoes. However I felt they made the right decision letting him go and keeping Ibaka. Harden was out the next year anyway. He's a superstar and wasn't going to be coming off the bench any longer than his original contract.

I didn't take your view personally haha. I thought it was a good post. Can be hard to tell emotion in text. I was just putting more thoughts in. Just different views on the situation. All in all, OKC is still good and not sure why people are worried about them not getting their wins.

    OG likely had them ATS

I'd be curious to see what their record is ATS over the last two years

    I'd guess less than .500

They get a ton of respect from the book with pretty heavy lines.

Thunder be smoking that crizzle on the rizzular...they some ball hoggin mofos. Perk does absolutely nothing. It's like having Nazr Mohammed. Ibakas a good player, but where's the down low scoring inside presence with this team. When Durant and Westbrook Jays ain't falling you can't just dump it down to Collison and let him go to work. They'll live and die by the Westbrook and Durantes Jays...most likely die.
