I shall start. It has been almost half a decade since SB I.
1) Dallas Cowboys - 8 Super Bowl appearances, with 5 rings. The 3 defeats in the Super Bowls they lst were by a combined total of 11 points. They were 1 step behind Green Bay in the 60's, competed at high level in the 70's with 2 championships. In the 80's after the Dwight Clark miracle catch they stepped back awile until Jerry Jones took over. 90's no question, dominated them with 3 Super Bowl crushings. If Dallas had won the ice bowl and the NFL championship in the 60's in very 2 tough losses to Green Bay, todays trophy would have been called the Tom Landry tropy, in all respect to Vince Lombardi. Since 1996 there has been a lull, with but 2 wins in 4 playoff tries. Considering the complete half decade, the Dallas Cowboys stand out as the best.
2) Pittsburgh Steelers - 6 Super Bowl appearances with 5 rings. Really dominated the 70's, but they earn the 2nd tier placing because of their organizations very strong foundation and principles. Only 3 coaches, with a philosophy of a strong running game and rock solid defense. Their lone loss in the Super Bowl was to the top pick in 1996, 27-17.
3) San Francisco 49ers - There 5 Super Bpwl championships were so impressive with Montana, Young, Bill Walsh and company they come in the 3rd spot here. The wins in such a short period of time were so impressive they get the show spot. The 70's, 80's, 90's and currently they have maintained winning teams fielded that mostly always compete.
