Would you be in favor of this NFL rule change?

I personally hate QB kneel downs at the end of the game. The NFL should remove this from the game by implementing the following rule:

Any rush for a loss of yardage inside of 2 minutes of the 4th qtr will stop the clock.

This will force teams to try and run for yards or pass it in order to maintain possession. It will also give teams with no timeouts left a chance to stop the clock with a stuff in the backfield. That would create tons of excitement and extend games. I think this kind of rule will create more great finishes instead of boring kneel downs that milk the clock.

Been saying that for years. Love it. Why have a 60 minute NFL game and let the final 2-3 of games not be played? Makes no sense whatsoever.

Let's get rid of field goals as well. Teams will try more 4th downs.

I wasn't looking at it from a gambling angle at all.
I would like to see some kind of competitiveness for the whole game.
I also feel the game clocks be stopped after first downs the final 5 minutes of the game until the chains are moved and ball is spotted just like college.
This would make for lots more action and much more excitement in the final minutes of games. And less time watching fat slobs laying on running backs not letting them get up and refs jerking off spotting balls because of whatever side they may have on the game.

It's some shit you would do in Madden with a friend. Let them get the ball back for fun to see if they can comeback but this is the NFL. You compete all game and if the opposing team can't stop the clock and get the ball back, tough break. You had all game to win the game, it's over.

Don't they do this in the CFL? Last three minutes of each half the clock stops on any dead ball IIRC.

The rule that is in need of change is the when they throw a flag for targeting. They review it and reverse it so the player isn't fined yet they still inforce the 15 yard penalty even though the targeting penalty was reversed. It's a easy way for the refs to help out Vegas....see Jets bucs game.

In college same thing but if the rule is upheld the player is forced to sit out a half because they cannot fine players.

This rule has to change either it's a penalty or not, none of this monkey business.
