Good lord a url address? My god you guys are making it harder than it is to do a **********. Ok I will explain how I do it...and make no mistake I have done it three times from books not paying.
My bank is Chase. I have a **** debit card that I have used to fund a book.
1. Book doesn't pay me for some reason, so I call my bank and they transfer me to the dispute department.
2. A guy/girl answers. They ask me for the debit card number, so I give it to them.
3. They ask the amount and date I am wanting to dispute. I tell them say January 25th, the date it posted to the account. I tell them the amount...say $1500.
4. They ask why am I disputing the charge. I say it was not authorized by them and they kept my money when I called them asking them to give it back to me. I have not seen a dime or word from them since then.
5. They then take 2-3 minutes to put the dispute in and then tell me I need to fill out a form. They can mail, fax it, or e-mail it to me.
6. The form I fill out simply the dispute number, my card number with expiration date. My address. My telephone number. The date of the charge and the amount. It gives me the option to check whether the card is in my possession or if it was lost. Also there is a spot if the card was stolen or lost. Next it asks you to write in the name of the company that charged the card (You can find this on your bank statement), the amount, and the date again. Then select if the charge was unauthorized, goods not received, and a few other options. I always chose not authorized. Sign it and date it. I then fax it back to them.
7. When I am on the phone with them before filling out the form after they e-mail it to me they cancel my card and issue me another one. For 5 bucks they over night it to me.
8. Form filled out, faxed back to them. Within 24-48 hours a credit is back in my account until the settle the dispute.
9. After a week or two of them looking into they realize the charge was not authorized because I assume it was a gaming site, or the processor did not care to fight the dispute, or didn't have evidence that it was me who did the charge and therefore they lose the money that was sent to them from the bank from the charge.
10. I get a letter saying the charge was not authorized and that the funds will stay in the account for good.
That's it...nothing more or less. I have done this at least two if not three times with sportsbooks and won every time. I have done it a couple of times on merchandise such as Ebay stuff cause of a scam or something else. It's not hard at all. Just tell your bank it was not authorized. You called the company up asking them to give you the money back and they don't. So now you disputed the charge with your bank.
