    You guys need to understand something. The charge doesn't go directly to sportsbook.com. It goes to a middle guy (lately "egames") who probably takes his cut and gives sportsbook the rest. Charge backs or unauthorized withdrawals, which I'm sure some of which are already occurring, will go against the middle guy who will start screaming at sportsbook since he is the one who got the money to begin with. Everyone (even players who have nothing in their accounts) should challenge every charge the last 180 days. The angle of "oh no that may hurt us getting our money" is laughable. I'm also laughing at some of these posts that split hairs on when 7-10 days starts etc. NO ONE HAS BEEN PAID AND THEY CONTINUALLY LIE. THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!!

    Sportsbook.com shares poker tables with other places. One of which is cake poker. I have talked to their players and they are saying that they have been receiving withdrawl this month. So why don't we create an account and lose our money to the other account and then withdrawl it from there?

    i think the only way to withdraw from cake right now is epassporte.com, people over there are still waiting for there checks as well.

    Everything you say is right. That is why the THREAT of chargebacks is a great leverage weapon against these guys. You're right: they lie, they stall, they can't be trusted. So lets look at this rationally:

    SCENARIO A: Sportsbook.com intends to pay us but is backed up. The payments will start rolling in this weekend. I know a lot of you think this is impossible, but honestly that is beyond stupid because we ARE STILL IN THE TIME FRAME with one possible exception. So Sportsbook starts to pay us, and suddenly their processor starts giving them heat for chargebacks. Then they have no way AGAIN to process the withdrawals. Then people don't get paid DUE to our actions of not waiting three days to see if this is what's happening.

    SCENARIO B: Sportsbook.com is trying to screw us. They are postponing to make as much money as possible and treating us like suckers. This is a possibility also. So people charge back tonight and tomorrow and their processor gives them heat and problems. Great. So they lose their processor. The truth is, if SCENARIO B is whats going on, they are splitting and going out of business soon anyways. They have probably already cut their deals to get out of Dodge. Not to mention their "processor" is as shady as they are and probably expects this to happen also.

    The bottom line is that by the end of the week we will know if its scenario A or B. Scenario C is they keep stalling and keeping their books open, at which case I say we revert to the above plan and try to "extort" the money we've been extorted out of.

    Can Anyone HOnestly tell me what good it will do to jump the gun and charge back right now? Unless your 30/60/120 days is up tomorrow? Wait till Friday. Even if its a 1% chance of getting paid. My feeling is that a lot of these people have lost more than they've won and so they see charging back as a net winning strategy. But it's not always that easy and it may get rejected.

    Someone please give me a reason why you would charge back now and not wait till Friday when we WILL KNOW if we are getting paid. It's like 72 hours. Anyone? A single reason?

    Wow that's an awesome idea. I wish my money wasn't in transit via bank wires. Someone try that and see if it works. one hand on 25/50 NL with both the players (I would find a way to use 2 different IPs)

    The guy above me said that the only way right now is via epassporte. I think its worth looking into. If I dont receive my wires by monday I will know that my money is toast and try to transfer it to cake poker. Shouldn't be too hard to register another user. Hell I will pay my friend 500 to do it for me and then its legit.

    Jon---As a lawyer, if you have any corporate experience you then know that if you are running a business and this situation occurs, giving them every benefit of the doubt, you
    1) Put up an immediate notice on your website of what is happening giving a long and short time table for when payments will be processed along with a reason for the delay.
    2) Follow that up with an email to ALL players.
    3) Add some kind of bonus into accounts or have reduced juice for a period of time.
    4) and probably most importantly....train the nitwits that answer the phone to give the proper answers to the problem and not say "3-5" days every day you call. How bout...."sir, we encountered a processor problem last week that was beyond our control, we have posted a notice on the website and emails have gone out to everyone. We are hoping to have everything straightened out and the bugs worked out within 3 weeks. There is no guarantee on the time frame but we are hopeful. Due to this we will be adding xxxxx dollars to your account for the problems the delay may cause you. In addition, we will be having reduced juice lines for the 1st two months of the upcoming baseball season. We do value you as a customer and you can check with us frequently for any updates"

    The problem with sportsbook is that it appears to be run by degenerate gamblers with no business savy.

    Hey Joey-

    I don't really have any corporate experience; I mostly do criminal (which maybe more appropriate here), but you're totally right. This is a rogue business with no PR skills. I haven't played at other sportsbooks so I don't know if they are different. These people get away with the most ridiculous excuses that would never fly in a U.S. business. That is cause there is no legal way to hold them accountable.

    What I'm hoping is that, assuming we don't get paid by Friday, we can make them pay us by influencing their bottom line. If we make it profitable for them to pay us, they WILL DO IT, cuz we know they are greedy bastards to begin with. Why else would they be where they are doing what they do. And I believe we can hurt their business greatly with just a little effort.

    again, agree with everything you said. they wouldn't last 5 minutes as a business in the U.S. or most countries.

    What would you advise for language usage when we call the credit card company? I was going to say that, "I pay my bill every month and I saw a strange charge this last month from "egames" and I questioned my wife and she knew nothing about it. I looked back at the last 6 months and I see $1000 to this place. I don't know who they are or what they do...someone must be using my number"

    hate to say this but....threats?? I'm sure the reps get that on a daily basis..with nothing behind these threats..i'm sure it doesn't worry them a bit. I've been following this thread as well as others, I don't see ANY results from waiting.

    Here's how i look at it...

    1) If they are going under and just stalling, I'm gonna be one of the first to try to get what is RIGHTFULLY mine. Why wait...especially if they are going down..as stated..i don't expect to see it

    2) If they aren't..but are just experiencing problems....and will eventually get people's money out....which has been taking 2 months???...why should i ..or anyone else, overlook these outrageous delays..especially if it's stated on the web page, by csr's that it should take less. If you don't do anything about it, they won't care to hurry. They know the nature of most gamblers...Trust me, the folks running the site AREN'T degenerates..they're millionaires with all our "frozen" assests. Trust me when I say..they KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING...and telling their csr's all they need to say and do..nothing more..they'd be degenerates if they were to tell them otherwise

    Regardless my withdraw, small or not, It needs to be returned to me in the timeframe they've given. heck, they took my money instantly without asking anything correct?...so tell me..why shouldn't I hold them to the same standards..when it comes to money which is rightfully mine. And if it's just delays and nothing more..then i'll just get my withdraw just that much quicker..whatever the case..i really don't care at this point..all i know is that i have someone speaking to them now..and not me..wasting my breath and time...

    My bank asked on what grounds, what I gave them was that the services that was to be rendered..ie..PAYOUT..never was rendered..after that, the paper works started rolling. They didn't have an issue with that at all. I was UP FRONT and told them, it was to an offshore gambling site...I wasn't about to get my balls busted later for lying and possibly lose my ally. My advice..be up front..don't lie..the cc company might even frown more upon that when they find out the truth and not help you. If they say no..oh well..u can just wait ...

    ok my update may be the worst to date -- they did call which i was impressed by, but are saying that to trace the wire would require canceling it and starting over or they are asking me to wait till Friday and then trace it - its really a no-win situation.

    As far as checks -- supposedly they are going out slowly - only under 2K and not be fed ex but by DHL - their current processor does not use Fed Ex -- they are hoping to have others up and running next week or sooner - which has been the case for almost a month - supposedly the other processors will be able to process the larger amounts - they have been so kind to offer me a $750 free play, great - I didnt ask if they had posted odds on me getting my money or not but should of.

    Once again - take it for whats its worth - dont shoot the messenger - I waited my 10 days - Friday would make sense if it wasnt really sent out till last Monday which some of you, including me at times, thought.....I have two beliefs

    1 - they are so big that they cant find processors that will work with them and they are giving people false hope but have plenty of money

    2- upper management has a seperate agenda and is done next week or shortly after and closes

    just came over from 2+2, thankfully someone pointed out this thread to me. unfortunately, i do not feel better after reading it. (trun's situation)

    I too have been waiting over a month for cashouts from sportsbook. unfortunately my money (poker) was all generated from a small deposit, so i have no recourse in terms of chargebacks.

    lately I started compiling all communications from sportsbook.com and inconsistancies from the word go are both disturbing and astounding.

    i currently have 2 wires and 1 check pending. the wires have supposedly begun processing tuesday. they were originally sumbitted about 2 weeks ago, then sportsbook.com decided to wait A WEEK to ask me for copies of bank statements to verify my bank accounts belong to me. those were submitted thursday, and tuesday the wire(s) has been put through. i have been told at the latest i will recieve it next friday.
    The check was requested tuesday AM and depending on who I ask it will be out on friday via fedex.

    they are obviously using every stall tactic possible to quell player's frustrations. i could go into further detail with emails and other communications over the last month+, but that would most likely be redundancy in the context of this thread. if at any point for any reason i need to get specific, i have the option.

    i have been in regular contact with a specific supervisor who *seems* to genuinely want to resolve this issue with me. i will be contacting her tomorrow as she has been off for 2 days. i will be requesting a wire and make her aware of my concerns re: TRUN's story. (not using his name or this forum specifically, of course).

    you said you have numbers other then the typical cs reps, so when they called, did you try insisting that they send you a $1500 express check asap to make up for your wire delay, they should put you on the front of the check list just as a show of faith...

    im waiting at this point but looking into other options - if its not here on friday i still have to start all over - i have really given up and going to seek legal advice at this point - where it will get me - I really dont know but thats my plan - i wasted too much of my time reading on-line and trying to figure out options when i feel like i have not much more info that i had when this all started - bottom line is they can not find processors to work with them - I truely believe if they could they would - they make a ton of money and have a ton of players - think of how many players are playing and losing currently and never know about this because they have not tried to make a withdrawal - im sure they are out there -- my only other thought is they are done with the US hassle and may up and leave sooner than later -- i lean towards the first one but at the same time I dont care at this point and want to look at other options

At this point in the game, you guys had best do what u can....I wholeheartedly agree with TRUN...good luck in waiting guys..I honestly hope the best for ya'll, I hope I get somewhere with my dispute..even if I get no where..at least I'll give someone there a headache..much like the one they gave me...

    i do have a personal number - all platinum players have it - i asked about being switched to checks and sending them out in small amounts and told that is not possible at this time either - i have asked about every option possible and said i was more than willing to work with them to get his all resolved. I can tell you - for those expecting fed ex checks -- as of right now -- they are not being sent out fed ex - if you get one its dhl -- obviously i dont know anyone who has recieved one, but that is what i am being told - once again - just passing the info - take it for whats it worth - take the info i give you for what its worth and hopefully it gives you some insight into what is going on or at least what i am being told is going on

    I have 5g in Sportsbook.com going way back to the beginning of football season. I haven't deposited money in long enough to run a **********, but for what its worth my wife works for Fiserv EFT... one of the largest ****/********** transaction handlers for smaller banks in the country and used to do ********** work.

    If you contest your charge, she gives you a 95% chance of winning. Why? She doubts the merchant will even respond no matter what you say. If they do, how can they maintain the **** rules of providing the service you asked for? Wanna get tricky, say you requested printed material via fedex on sports odds (not illegal) and simply want them to verify it was sent. Again, not gonna happen and you win.

    So lets think about this logically for a minute though... if I'm a big book and plan to never give money back what do I do? I fold up now. What are you going to do thats any different then what you do if I dont pay out? If I'm trying beyond trying to process stuff I act as they are. The only logic behind them continuing to operate (assuming right now for all intents and purposes the money is "theirs") is to get more money in before they fold up. IF thats the case, then incoming bets would need to be GREATER than the payouts you aren't paying since you can assume there is going to be a ********** wave when you fold up and the new deposits will be well withint the window. Delaying the process might let the window expire on some folks who will miss the 180 day ********** window... but not many. Lets face it, most people lose their money at these places and don't have a major account balance to horde or care about.

    I dont know... I dont think what they are doing is good but at the same time, I cant wrap my brain around the actions of CS being in line with a fold up. If I'm folding up I let all but one dude named Jose go and run it until deposits stop. The customer service, while not real helpful, is at least always there by phone or chat and that doesn't feel like a trim back before the fold up. I've called no less than 5 times regarding my last check and chatted 3-4 times with the same BS lines but still... someone is there and you have to assume right now A LOT of players are pinging CS.

    Sooo... transfer your funds to my account via poker, I'll pay you .10 on the dollar and assume your risk and you can still run the **********

    If you want to know if they'll pay, ask them a simply set of questions:

    What bank do you guys bank at? _____ Ok. If I come and open and account at that bank or do so online or over the phone, can you put my money in it? Or, if I find another book that banks there, will you transfer for me? When they start stuttering, you know the truth. If they have no processor, they should be happy to not have to process.


    Regarding threatening them with chargebacks, they are well beyond caring. If 20 people here are pissed, 100s elsewhere are being screwed. I guarantee they have had enough charge backs that their previous merchant accounts have been closed and their retainers taken.

    Now if you really want to threaten them, make a $1 or $10 or whatever the minimum is deposit now. Call your credit card company or look online and find out who made the charge (Most likely it will be the current processor). YOu might have to wait a day or two for your card to know who it was. Then send an email exactly as follows:

    Subject: Attn management - need response within 24 hours or I will stop you from processing ************.

    Dear sir,

    I have been awaiting a withdrawal of _____ since ____ date. I have just deposited today and I know your current processor is ______. My wire info is:

    Account:_____
    Swift Code: ______
    Bank ______
    Address ______
    Name on Account ______

    My address is _______

    International bank wires take 3 days or less when actually sent.

    Fedex takes 48 hours or less.

    If I do not have one of the following two things, I will immediately call _____ credit card processor and let them know you are committing fraud and I will point them to the threads at SBR, Covers, TheRx, MW, EOG, etc... If you have their phone number, include it.

    Option 1:

    Send a wire to me immediately for $-____such that I receive it by ____(3 business days date)____ and email me the confirmation number by ____(1 business day date)____

    Option 2:

    Send me a handwritten check to me for $_____ by fedex such that I receive it by ___3 biz days____. Email the tracking code to me within 24 hours of this email.

    I hate this place. There employee's word means nothing. They basically just lied to me about a teaser bet that I was told was a push, but they graded as a loss and didn't reverse it even though I brought it to their attention. Crooks if you ask me.

    BS---Their customer service people make about $3 an hour so that is a non issue. If they stall until after final 4 they are fine because most people will lose their deposits betting and won't even know there is a payout issue and some of those that are owed will just say F it and not pursue. That is why I am charging back now. I don't plan on using them again anyway so it is a score for me and I will join another book and use a different card.

    Amazing!!!! Just went through google..wow..multiple forums with the same B.S. SB's fking over EVERYONE!!! LMAO!!! What's so funny is that some folks still are hopeful. What I found to be really shady was the fact that in one of the forums a couple of people stated they got their checks, with in a couple of days...Hard to believe when even mgmt stated that they didn't have processors during that timeframe....HMMMMM..sure..right. I'm sure they got their checks..as they probably work for SB. I will say this though, when I mentioned about **********, the csr sure was attentive as hell. First he stated that I would be held responsible for the chargebacks...yadda yadda..my account closed...as soon as i said..."and?"....he went to my account told me it was sent my wd was sent.., what else can i help u with sir?...ass kissing..lol As I could care less at this point..about my money...coulda sworn..thought he was actually somewhat worried..lol...I just closed my chat after that...have to say..first time it felt good to talk to their csr..he kept buggin me for assistance..and i got to say..f u..later...made my night. Hopefully while I'm in the tropics this weekend, my bank will call and have something to say..
