    You just say that you never authorized the charges and you don't know who the hell "egames" is or "sport4u" etc. This will also have them banning future charges from these clowns and that will **** up the sportsbook.com money stream coming in.

    You don't need to tell them what product... Just say you did not receive the product purchased.

    Honestly, if you just write your bank and say I am disputing the charge of ___ amount on ____ date, that will do the trick.

    Doug, this is true and why many books don't take them or only take $500 or whatever.. Many books also get your ID and signature before you can bet. It's all a matter of profit vs risk. They obviously know how many chargebacks they get per deposit and their profit per deposit.

    Here is what happens. When your bank files the dispute, the other bank sends them the money. The other bank then gets the money from Sportsbook. The other bank likely holds 10-20% of Sportsbooks transactions for 180 days to cover chargebacks. If their amount goes over this, they will debit their associated bank account.

    Even if Sportsbook goes under, the merchant account bank will pay your bank (They are bound by V/** agreements). This is why they charge 1-8% on credit card transactions depending on your risk as a merchant.

    If the merchant bank were to go under (Say a huge corporation when under and then the merchant bank follows), then your bank is on the hook for the money.

    If your bank would not pay it, they would lose their ability of providing **** or mastercards.

    We talked to Sportsbook.com folks again today and they are telling us that the small batch of initial wires they sent have been confirmed as received by players. We will be checking in daily for any changes but they maintain that those who have requested wires, or switched from check to wire, around 3/14 will see the money this week.

    Just a quick note: denying you made the charges/telling them you didn't authorize it IS credit card fraud and could potentially get you in trouble. This is different than charging back which is telling them they didn't provide the service stated in the contract. That is the safer route.

    Also, I know I am new and hold no weight around here, but if people start doing this it may hurt everyone receiving wires/checks IF they are really en route. I am not saying I believe that, but waiting until Friday to **********/dispute won't really put us in a worse position. We need to figure out who had the earliest confirmed wire withdrawal, and have them post on the 10th and 11th business day stating whether they have received the funds. Mine was sent out (in theory) on March 19th, so my 10th bus. day is either Friday or next Monday depending on how they measure it. I thought some people's had been sent out the 15th or 16th, which would make the drop-dead date this week sometime. We should measure if this is legit based on those first few wire transfers.

    Also, anyone who has had a check supposedly sent via FedEX get a tracking number ASAP and see if that is legit.

    This sucks for everybody but honestly we will know FOR SURE by Friday (assuming someone had an earlier send out date than me) or Monday whether they straight-up lied about sending out bank wires. Any action taken before this is figured out only hurts us.

    Ok, here is how it works. I called **** this morning and you must talk to the fraud department.

    After specifying the charges, they send you a letter you must sign and fax or send back.

    After this is done, it takes 2 weeks to process.

    I am not sure what will happen but my letter is definitely in the mail.

    I will not let them jerk me around any longer.

    The cs guys have no way of knowing if anyone recieved thier wires. They also have no way way of knowing whether thier processor actually sent the money. Only thing they could possibly know is whether Jezette sent instructions for us to be paid.

    i'd really like to see Trun post a chat session with a cs rep, where he asks them to comfirm when his wire was sent, and how many days it's been...

    Also the vast majority of our wire transfers are still within 7-10business days, and checks should be going out by the end of the week... so why is everybody freaking out right now, things will become clear one way or the other within the next week.

    The Sportsbook.com site is going to be changed to say 3 weeks for a check to be processed. They still believe wire will be substantially faster.

    Regarding challenging the credit card charges, I would strongly advise against doing that until this is resolved. I am an attorney and I know that by signing a release statement to the credit card you maybe liable for fraud yourself, particularly if we get our money by this weekend and they did pay up, yet you signed a statement saying they had confiscated your money or whatever.

    Also, what I fear a lot of these ************ will do is not grant the chargebacks based on the fact that our activity was illegal (i.e. gambling) under the Port Security Act and maybe before it. The fact that the banks authorized the charges is muddy legally cause they may not have "known" 100% who they were sending it to. We all, however, knew exactly where we were sending it, so they will point to that before granting chargebacks. It maybe a case by case situation, but this is not like a traditional ********** situation, and repeated charges are not likely to be granted by a credit card or bank. It's not a bad plan for a desperate last resort, but don't forget, we are still w/in the time frame they stated for payment, so it's not like we're 100% screwed at this point, or even close honestly.

    A couple things that are positive signs: the CS reps are a) keeping their stories relatively straight (albeit abstract) as to our individual accounts, b) they are telling some of us the wires/checks have not been sent out yet (if they are going under, why not just tell everybody it was sent out and save themselves the problems), c) they have confirmed multiple wires have been sent to the banks (they should know that some day at the end of this week is D-Day and if the wires are not there its over; if they wanted to buy more time they would've said 10-15 days or not confirmed the send date or something), d) they actually put up their check processor, which should be able to be tracked with FedEX.

    The thing that could screw everybody over, other than Jazette of course, is if we start making huge amounts of chargebacks and have Sportsbooks money frozen so we actually force them to go under. I don't know that much about the specific process of chargebacks, so I may be wrong, but I know there's either 60 or 120 days to claim them so unless that is tomorrow for people, they should wait til the weekend.

    Is there anybody here whos wire was sent out before the 19th? As much as I want to wait this out, I think if that wire does not hit by 10 days we will know whats up and then it will be everybody for themselves.

    well put. Also i guess i can understand some of you freaking out due to placing 1000s on your cc to bet with money you don't have, i mean c'mon thats horrible. I got over 10k in sportsbook 100% from poker and my initial cc deposit was 100 bucks 2 months ago. So i'm not so concerned about a **********...lol

    Anyone that was told their wires were sent out March 21st or earlier, post the date you were told and your 10th business day. This should be easy to figure out. If we get 5 or more people that the wires don't hit, sportsbook will not be able to give us any individual excuses (i.e. you put your bank info/SWIFT info/etc. wrong). I think this will make the issue very black and white.

    My wire was "sent out" Mar. 19th. My 10th business day is Apr.2d.

    I VERY MUCH hope that someone's was sent earlier than mine because, of course, this is the day of the end of March Madness for all the conspiracy theorists.

    You are crazy if you think you are going to be charged for fraud for disputing a charge made by a sportsbook who refuses to give you back your money for 6 weeks.

    Part of the implied services of sportsbook.com is withdrawals in a reasonable time period. They have not provided these and you have every right to charge back.

    Now if you get a check in 2 weeks and you keep the charge back, that's fraud. At that point, you should notify your card to let the charge stand (Once the check clears)

    EXACTLY, first time I agree with sean. haha.

    YOu ahve every right to dispute teh charges. They did not do what tehy are supposed to. If you order a product and it is backordered, and teh company scharges you and months later has not sent the product, you dispute the charge.

    If tehy send you the priduct down the line, you either reverse teh dispute, or return the product.

    3 weeks for a check to be processed? hmmmm? sounds like mor e stalling time to me. If they dont say this (3 weeks) then they will ahve to provide tracking info by end of week, which they will not have if they havenot sent any checks.

    Hey i placed my first check withdraw from sb on the 22nd of last month so i've been waiting as long as you all. I understand that sportsbook has been buying time, several weeks infact with delays, this is understandable to me in that the US gov has made is significantly harder for these company's to process receive and send money... this isn't something sportsbook made up, i played on fulltilt poker and had a several week delay in being able to get funds prior to playing on sportsbook. I've heard bodog is having similar problems.

    Also i've haven't seen anything close to proof that someone like Trun from this board actually got confirmation that his wire was sent on the 13th making it 10 business days today... all he has to do is post a cs conversation on this board where he confirms when his wire was sent ect... but i have seen nothing like that from anybody.

    All i'm saying is by the end of next week, everything should be crystal clear one way or the other, so why freak out now.

    Here you go -- take it for whats it worth -this was from last night - i usually dont deal with their chat as they are very good at form answers - but wanted to see what they were telling players- I have been in contact with them throughout the day and they have provided me with no answers - I waited my 10 business days and i am done with them - I am supposed to get a call this evening from their platinum supervisor but I doubt it, and I doubt that they will have any new info -- they requested the info on the trace last Monday and still dont have it --

    Good luck to all of you but i have wasted enough time on this whole matter instead of making back the money i lost - I do still believe they have the money -- they just have no way to get it to the US at this point - the check option was put up but is not really working correctly - they even admit that very
    few checks are going out for low amounts (under 2K) -- maybe they waited till last monday to send my wire - why would they not say that at this point ? They still insist mine went out on the 13th of March --

    and yes i blanked out the Platinum Managers name, and dont have interest in giving it out at this point. Besides, he may mop the floors for all I know.

    I have to disagree. It depends on what you write when you sign the form of course, but in legal terms you maybe committing fraud on top of admitting to gambling, which itself maybe a misdemeanor. In reality, you probably won't get in trouble for it, but there are other consequences as listed above.

    Regarding the sportsbook.com contract that you sign when you confirm the terms and conditions, I believe everything is to be arbitrated under the terms of Antigua or somewhere, and their definition of "reasonable" would also be under this country's terms. The bottom line is most of that contract would be unenforceable (it is called "adhesive" under U.S. law) because sportsbook retains all sorts of rights "at its sole discretion." This means that Sportsbook.com would be laughed out of U.S. court in a dispute. However, we can't even reach them on jurisdictional grounds, so their contract is irrelevant. I guess none of this might matter for chargebacks, but that contract means next to nothing and is self-defined under local law. If we ********** en masse, I imagine **** will come up with a comprehensive policy which may look into the validity of the contract, the nature of the activities, etc. A good idea in the future if Sportsbook goes under might be to initiate a class action against **** for allowing these shady charges in these amounts w/o investigating. But in the end, the rule really is let the buyer beware, and I really don't think its as easy as people are saying to get chargebacks on these type of charges.

    Everyone will do what they want. I am still holding out some hope for Friday.

    DO you really think any wire woudl take this long? MOre importantly, ifyousend out 10 wires, they wouldnt all just magically take the mximum amount of time. It is 7-10 days you shouold def have it. It shoul d be less.

    I am not saying they are not going to pay ever, but it appears that this is not round 1 of payment. It seems like this is round 4 or 5 of bullshit, and payments, if they are coming will be down the road sometime.

    If this was the first paymenst going out, do you really not think someone, just one person, would report receiving a wire already. It is already 7 business days from last monday.

    that really sucks. I don't understand why they can't come up with better canned answers even, but I think the bottom line is that he confirmed you are on bus. day 9 and tomorrow is bus. day 10. I REALLY DONT THINK these CS reps are fed any information at all, they seem to have access to an Excel spreadsheet documenting whether our w/drawals have been sent and told to say 24-48 hrs. if its not sent. Maybe the platinum number you have is better, I would hope, but these CS reps are beyond hopeless. Like I said, they have dug themselves a giant grave with this 7-10 day promise, and they know if these wires don't show up they are done. I think we are just running in circles talking to these CS reps, who may not even know if they are going under but are probably being paid $3/hr to cut and paste answers.

    TRUN, thanks for taking the initiative on this, and please let us know tomorrow (sometimes wires hit after 3 p.m.) if the wire has hit your bank. Lets get a couple more people that had wires go out early and confront them as best we can. but all that said, it hasn't been 10 days yet, so cross your fingers for tomorrow, as skeptical as we all are.

    and re: chargebacks, I don't mean to tell people what to do. By all means try it if you want (although I think Fri/Mon would be a good time to do it) and let us all know if it works with specific cards.

    In the past what do they say on the phone that they are working on getting your wire tracing information?

    Also, how many other people on here are in the same boat as trun, being that you got wire confirmation around the 13th?

    I don't know guys, all i know is this is shady shady shady business. At one point, I waited from March 4th for my withdraw, March 19th came, it HADN'T even been processed, So then i cancelled and played with some, re-withdrew on the 22nd, I've only received confirmation email yesterday saying it was sent..or wired..WHY WOULD IT TAKE 7-10 DAYS????? I find it hard to believe it has anything to do but to stall as long as possible so u put your money back and lose it..IMHO. If you ask me, I personally don't think I will get this money back until months..anyone who says they've gotten their checks and state they've had no problem with sportsbook is 1) lying 2) someone from SB. I've followed this from the get go when they said they lost their processor way back in early february. Since then, numerous reps have said they have gotten an new processor for their checks and are processing and sending out checks as we spoke...oddly enough, mine was never sent out. 3 weeks!!!!! each time i spoke to the rep..got the usual "hopefully end of the week". Honestly, I've come to the conclusion that I might not get the money back. At least then, I won't have any let down. As far as the wire, during late Feb, it was suppose to be avail, I spoke to a rep who stated, go through wire and you'll get ur funds in 3-5 days..this was back in late Feb...and now..i'm reading all these posts..this is uttter B.S.!!! PLEASE, IF ANYONE HAS SUCCESS WITH CHARGE BACKS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT GETTING THE MONEY BACK NOW..I JUST WANT THE F*****s TO GO THROUGH HELL!!!!

    MY WIRE WAS SUPPOSEDLY SENT OUT ON THE 20th of March.

    THEY WILL EXCEPT YOUR REQUEST FOR WIRE INFO< BUT FULL WELL KNOW THEY ARE NOT GOING AND MAYBE CANT PROVIDE IT>

    YOU WILL NOT GET WIRE TRACKING INFO FROM THEM I DO NOT THINK< I HAVE ABOUT 3 TCIKETS OPEN ASKING FOR THIS. THEY CONTINUE TO SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THAT INFO< TEH WIRE TRAMSNFERS PASS BETWEEN MULTIPLE BANKS TO GET TO US AND THAT MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE.

    The One Good Sign I Had< Was That When I Asked For My Wire Transfer That Was Supposedly Sent On 3/20 To Be Cancelled And Put Back In My Account To Play With, I Was Tol Dthi Si S Not Possible Becaus Eit Was Already Processeed And Sent.

    Now They Could Be Smart Enough To Say This< And Consistent With Teh Promise It Was Sent< But I Am Not Sure.

    They Have Previously Not Been Very Smart And Consistent With Lies< And Were Also Always Happy To Get It Back In V-chips, So Them Telling Me This Was Not Possible Was A Goo Dsign>

    you are right it is absolutely ridiculous that an int'l wire would take 10 days. When I confronted CS about this, they said they were channeling it through various intermediary caribbean banks. (why those banks wouldn't steal our money I don't know) I think this maybe partially true but the truth is probably that they tell us they sent it about 4-5 days before they did, thus buying them a week of time to get caught up. And yea, it's not looking good if all of them take 10 days, but right now all we can do is bitch about the delay. After the wires don't arrive, we can straight up say they LIED, broke their contract, and need to explain themselves. Trust me, I think 95% of what they say is full of shit, but that doesn't necessarily mean we won't get our money at the back end of their timeframe. A couple of days and we'll know.

    TRUN- SOrry I didn't realize that was from last night. Have you called them today? talked to them? What have they said? Check your bank after 3 pm whatever time zone you are in.

    yes the money is not in my account - today was day 10 -- they have no good answer except they have requested the info on my transaction but had done that and confirmed that last Monday - 8 days ago.

    I am supposed to get a call later but i have high doubts on that - Im just done with them - I have no belief in anything they have said -- 8 days is more than fair to come up with the bank info - they have no answers and refuse to let me talk to anyone except the "manager" - I was patient with them until today - now I am done

    ok guys so the earliest wire was sent last monday for you guys right? they say 7-10 business day so this friday is DDAy...
    if noone receives by this FRIDAY i AM going to ********** on all my accounts, saying that i deposited into an online wallet and they are refusing to let me have my funds back after a full month, and just stalling. They said my wire was sent
    on MARCH 22nd, and gave me the 7-10 day BS too..

    i say we wait till end of this week then lets go after them,, a few more days wont hurt us, since in the psat they never gave a definite timeframe for something that HAS to happen. It was checks may go out or this feature might be available, but now they said for sure our wires are processed and we just hae to wait to receive them. SO WE CAN TAKE THEM DOWN SINCE WE WILL KNOW FOR SURE THEY LIED SINCE THEY SAY THEY WERE SENT OUT.


    Guys lets hold off coupled days and then the hammer may or may not fall on these faggots

    Keep us posted TRUN, at least through tonight (if they call) or tomorrow (if the funds arrive). They have not been counting the 24 hours after they send the funds as a "business day." I really think that if some of us can prove we haven't been paid, and organize against these f-ckers, that we can use the threat of massive chargebacks as leverage to get our money. They have a lot to lose from not paying; their financial processors also process for like 20 other books/poker rooms and about half the sports market if I read this newspaper article right. Chargebacks could lead to investigations of them and I genuinely think they are scared of them. There's nothing else we can really scare them with except bad PR. Lets come up with a plan to take our best shot at getting our money. For instance:

    Whenever day 10 passes for 5+ people we can substantiate, we go to the CS rep and the highest manager we can find with that list. We say unless an excellent explanation and money w/ tracking # is delivered to us w/in 24-48 hrs. we have 500 people that will charge back all of their sportsbook, players only, betus, etc. accounts at the same time (say noon on Tuesday). We will also go online and tell people in the cake poker rooms not to play w/ sportsbook- they dont ever pay- they lie- etc.... We will jam their CS people and not let up until we are paid. Basically we can use guerilla warfare and fight fire with fire because they can't really get to us. We DO have the ability to hurt their business dramatically, probably costing them more money than the money they are stealing from us. And that WILL make them scared.

    I don't know about the specifics, and we can definitely figure out a plan, but is anyone else interested in this course of action? I think we just need the 5+ people and 10+ days and we have the high ground in the whole fight. Who knows if or how it'll work but it's better than bitching and giving up our money.
