    LT leans slightly toward BYU with Sammy. Boise may have a tough time scoring without Southwick vs. the BYU defense, and BYU has looked REAL good during its four-game winning streak. BYU has faced a nice schedule too ranked 24th in SOS, Boise schedule ranked 97th.

    Yea the backup qb can definitely run. He will give byu some problems, but man it's hard to lay a TD with BYU against the team that is usually more prepared than it's opponents except when they're just out matched like against Washington

    rolling with the under 1st half and game

    both teams will be run first oriented tonight, 20th and 14th rushing attacks in the nation...time consuming drives. Boise St. QB making his 1st start in a hostile environment. Both teams with respectable defenses. Looking for the BYU defense to regroup after last week pitiful performance.

    Lol the same BYU D that gave up 46, 34 in the first half to Houston? And from the looks of the backup at Boise, he can rush it a little too. I think this one is a close one. Boise did get trounced once this year but honestly getting Boise plus points is a great play.

    He is good I do feel like his style of play is more easily neutralized by BYU than Southwick. (Georiga Tech game leads me to believe that)

    I think the over would be obvious with Southwick in but kinda questioning it now. The new kid has great completion pct but it's on a small sample size and inflated by the fact that he would be put in as the run option so teams would load the box on him.

    Seems pretty good, I only saw him throw a couple passes once against Hawaii. As a High School senior he threw for over 2500 yards with 34 TDs and 1INT as well as rushed for 1500 yards and 17TDs. Last week he ran for two scores and over 100 yards and was 18-21 passing with an INT. I think BYU has slowed down much better offenses and as good as Boise's running game is this year BYU did a nice job against GT. Just scares me betting against Boise in a spot like this haha

    BYU has one of the best defenses in the country, don't let last week's score fool you. Houston scored on an interception return, a kickoff return and a safety. More telling was Houston only put up eight points in the second half (six by the offense). BYU ranks 37th in the country in total defense, and they are really better than that because they have faced a stronger SOS than many (most?) of the teams ahead of them.

    Yes you are right except Houston threw for 435 yards against a not so good secondary. Boise St. will not be throwing like that, they will be running and BYU has a very good run defense, allowed 48 yards against Houston. Plus Provo is a tough place to play. I am not saying Boise St. doesn't cover, and I hope they beat them SU. I just don't like the line, I think it is baiting us betters to take Boise St. If I was to put some money down, it would have to be under 1st half. I think it is going to be a real slow start. GL!

    I just found this interesting. This game opened up at -6.5 at some books and as high as -7.5. The public took Boise right off the top taking it down to -7. Since then the action has been relatively balanced between the two teams. My mind wonders if the +1 pt push was a result of Sharp money because only sharps move spreads whole points. Public movement moves it .5 pts depending on the amount being bet.

    The secondary is not bad, BYU is allowing 6.0 yards per pass attempt. They got their one bad game out of the way last week (vs. a team that throws the ball like 80% of the time), look at all of their other games.

    The way I see this matchup is whether peterson has enough confidence with Hedrick to lay off a predictable gameplan based on pounding the rock on the ground or run a wide-open attack to keep BYU guessing. Although Boise has been ramping up their rush attack with a talented back like Ayaji Boise St. knows they will have to exploit the secondary to win this game. Asking Hedrick to step up in Provo to accomplish this is a tall task. BYU on the other side comes in feeling real good about their up-tempo offense just having set an FBS record for running 115 plays against Houston. While impressive Houston is notorious for playing zero defense and schemewise BSU coordinates a much more exotic look on defense. I look for Boise St. to come out tonite and attack BYU on both sides of the ball aggressively and I think Taysom Hill will struggle at first to adjust to pressure packages. Boise has the advantage of having seen uptempo attacks all year and will be up to the challenge. Look for Peterson to balance run and pass early to hit weapons on the outside capable of gashing BYU's weak secondary. Despite BYU being at home with a hot offense look for Boise to stifle Hill early and keep their offense off the field. Edge to Boise St. +6.5, GL.

    Offense keeps getting better every game and has scored points during the four-game win streak though. And I was way down on Hill as a passer early on, but give him credit he has suddenly completed a high percentage the last four weeks, so maybe it really was receivers making a ton of drops the first few weeks.
