Would you fire Don Mattingly if the Dodgers don't make it to the world series?

...or the next year? Such a large payroll with top pitchers, veterans, and strong line up. How could you lose to the Cardinals using your best starters? What would you do?

He doesn't swing the bats or throw the pitches you can lead a horse to water and he may not drink you can't fire a guy for the team winning a playoff series and coming up lame in 2 games on the road wacha has been outstanding his past 3 starts. Team had one of the best 2nd halves in history and your talking about firing a guy for his players not hitting in 2 games.. This is comical and un fukin believable all together

You do realize the Cardinals had the best record throughout the season and this is the time of year the cardinals players know how to get it done right? Do you even watch baseball?

    yes, he will be gone.

he is currently a laughing stock because of his boneheaded moves like starting kershaw on 3 days rest and removing gonzo in the 8th.

He might, his in game moves and the Kershaw thing are really questionable. Maybe the 3 day rest thing can be overlooked, but taking gonzo out with the game on the line for your speed guy, then not even going for the stolen bag

And yeah your post is ignorant..."how could you lose to the cardinals?". Cmon j they're not the fukkin whitesox here lol

Obviously no. I don't think someone should be fired for losing 2 games on the road to a proven world series team. They turned their season in a total 180. From last to first. Won the division series with ease against a team with the 3rd best record in baseball and then laid 2 eggs on the road to the team with the best record. Not to mention the games were 1-0 and 3-2 in 13 innings. Managers will be ridiculed no matter what the decision is if it doesn't pan out. If it does, you'd be first on your knees ready to suck mattingly off and give him a contract

I think that about covers it. It's laughable to think that Mattingly will be out of a job.

You take everything the wrong way. I'm actually disappointed in Donny baseball. But if you want to lower your standards and not answer the question, then that's fine. I thought we were past the whole "I hate dodgers" thing when in fact you could have said things Don can improved. You're better than that.

Do you understand baseball? It's a game of streaks. Of course it's amplified in the playoffs that the Dodgers have lost TWO straight games and on the road. 2 losses ago they looked unbeatable.

if they win 2 straight at home now you will sing a different tune.

The fact the dodgers haven't picked up his option yet at this point in the season I think let's u know how management feels about the guy... Unless the dodgers make the world series than no I don't think mattingly will be back next season

A $210 Million dollar team came up short from going to the World Series.
But it's okay, they lost to the better team.

Not mocking your quote but the last time the Dodgers saw the world series was in 1988.

Still pretty great what the did after June though after finally getting things going. Prior to getting Puig they had been a laughingstock on offense going back to the Sox trade last year. He gave them some motivation or something I think. Cannot forget how banged up they were as well. Kemp hardly gets mentioned then you have Kelly being a punk and throwing at Hanley who just happens to be there best hitter and fukking him up for the series. Sure they will make a couple splash moves in off season and '14 should be interesting for LA.

Something to keep in mind, he led an expensive line-up as victims to a no-hitter against Astros pitching. They've giving Donny the best line-up and pitching staff in the league. What else do you want?

And another no-hitter against Donny-baseball. This time at home.
