Pretty Good Bet Tigers Do Not Lose Tonight

I am pretty good at isolation threads and of course big bets

This is more of an isolation thread on a game

Verlander arm should be strong..Oak has trouble scoring, tough park to score

Its a night game so easy bailout game

    Hard to say, JJ.

Hope you're right. This Gray kid is going to be a monster for Oakland.

Tigers fading towards the end of the season. Leyland is a terrible manager. Take A's all series as dogs.

How do you "explain" something as mind-numbingly obvious as this?

Honestly, Smoke, I think you are the worst poster at SBR. A total black hole.

Is Gray going to be good? Hell yes. Is Verlander having an off year? Hell yes.

But to say that Gray is "better" than Verlander at this point is just plain stupid. And you can't fix stupid, which you have proven in spades.

Detroit would never be -135 in Oakland for a must-win A's home game. Ever.

Yes they would be if the books liked them. And its not a must win. Oakland is very capable of winning in det. What was line in gm 5 in oak last year?

This is not a must win game for Oakland. They can lose tonight and still win the series.

The next 2 games after this they dont have to worry about facing Verlander or Scherzer.

Then the A's would get to come back home and take one more crack at Scherzer. This time they should fair better after seeing him once.Plus mad max pitched about as well as he possibly could have. No way he will repeat that performance.

    Go A's

I honestly dont give a fukk what you think. You're a worthless piece of trash. I post winners every day while you stand around and do absolutely nothing. Gray is pitching better than verlander now therefore gray>verlander today. And when gray out duels verlander today then maybe you'll understand what the fukk I am trying to tell you. Gray has been pitching better but nobody can feel too comfortable taking him in this spot in a must-win playoff spot against Verlander. Verlander has lost his stuff by many accounts (hitters that otherwise have a lot of respect for him have said so), but he might've made the proper adjustments like great pitchers do. He can shut down the A's again this year if he's able to throw effective offspeed stuff and locate his pitches well (getting an expanded Verlander zone again would help too).

Have to like Oakland here as a 1-0.dog. Yesterday we saw Atl and Pitt get it done and they have nothing on Oakland. Gonna be Tigs 1st time seeing Sonny and this offense did not do shit last night really after the 1st when Colon was largely to blame there. Oakland is streaky and that layoff hurt them more than Detroit. I have to back a team playing at home tonight that rarely loses 2 straight ecspecially at home and backed into a corner in a must win spot. Looks like the public is with you JJ and I like that as well. Gl

Yeah -- if Oakland loses and goes down 2-0 heading back to Detroit, I'm sure they'll do fine against Sanchez and Fister using their No. 3 and 4 starters.

This is a must-win game tonight for the A's. Period. LB, I never thought I'd see the day where you'd agree with BB on something as dumb as this.

Good point. I'm only up 90 units in my MLB season-long thread.

Typical Smoke. You are just lost. But keep those cut-and-paste buttons ready to go just in case you need to steal something else from someone and then try and take credit for it. You are the biggest running joke at SBR by a mile.

Gray is good. Without question. And I have no idea who wins tonight. But to say he's better than Verlander, once again, says it all about your dumb ass.

Verlander's last two starts were his best since May and probably best two consecutively all year. Just because he's looked like the third best starter on the Tigers which would be an ace on many other teams don't mean you should fade the guy for some rookie named after a strange combination going on in the sky.

Is it safe to assume that you believe that the outcome of this and any game is pre-determined and indicative of the line hung on the event?

Or do you read lines like tea leaves and form your opinion? I have always wondered what your train of thought was as applied to your posted plays.
