going to try out for an NFL team next year

i think i would have an outside shot at this. i see all these guys dropping passes its riduculous. i always wondered if i could make a difference on a team like jacksonville or tampa. going to email the players union and see what the league minimum is and if its worth getting a trainer. ive got the frame just need a little more speed. here are my raw stats

    6'6 215

    bench max 295
    squat max 205

very good agility. great high school basketball player all-league. great hands. ran a 40 a few years ago 4.9 but i didnt train for it. also i have one thing they cant teach and thats heart. a lot of it is politics so i might not make a squad but i catch everything thrown to me like a ben coates. its my dream i wish i hadnt waited so long to try this

4.9 is obnoxiously slow. There are lineman that can beat it.

You won't make it. You wanted to kill yourself over a bet the other day. You will be waterboy at best and probably kill yourself over all the taunts you get from the players. Depressed suicidal cases will never get the durability even if you are big and fit. All that stress from your losing bets must have a heavy build up of cortisol in your system....one training session later, you will be fatigued for months.

Open Tryouts an Opportunity for Players and Teams

Over the next several months, AFL teams will be holding open tryouts for the upcoming season. Coaching staffs around the League are working hard and preparing. Through open tryouts, teams have added many valuable players who have had a major impact on the AFL landscape including Barry Wagner, Mike Washington, and Fred Williams.

The ticket for guys who aren't overly big or athletic making it in division 1 and the NFL is long snapper. If you can long snap well, someone will give you a look.

    jacksonville roster te

    clay harbor 6'3 $630,000
    marcedes lewis 6'6 $4,200,000
    allen reisner 6'3 $555,000
    dj williams 6'2 $555,000

    6'2

i would tower over that guy

as for my 40 im sure with a trainer i could get it down into the 4.4 area. i ran 4.9 out of shape

i went to a jags game a few years back i was not impressed with the tight ends at all

Rigorous work outs, get a trainer, get the speed to about 4.5 at the least, catch slant passes daily.

I don't exactly think they hold open NFL tryouts these days, despite that movie with Marky Mark in it. Not that I think you're serious but, if you were, ya don't exactly start in the NFL. The CFL would be a good start or, barring that, Arena ball.

You do realize even Jacksonville has top college players on it.

You realize that Jax would destroy Alabama if they were to play?

You think you can contribute at a level above high D1?

    Good luck.

Let me give you a nickel's worth of free advice: If you want to make an NFL team as a miracle, outside-chance tryout, then talking about it on a GAMBLING WEBSITE probably ain't the wisest course of action.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. Any team that found out you were an active gambler isn't going to go near you with a 100 yard pole. (And by being active on this website, they're going to consider you an active gambler whether you are or aren't.)
