Wildcard should be best 2 of 3 but I like this 1 game sudden death too......There are plenty of teams out there that would love to be in position that these teams are in.....

It's fine. Lets say the WC round becomes a best of 3... once the LDS comes, the WC team is even more screwed, having to throw their 3rd and 4th starter against the other teams 1 and 2.

i don't understand why they changed what they had anyway. isn't this basically a play in game for whoever is going to be the real wild card team? they should only play the game if there's a tie. that's honestly what i thought last night was. i took the pirates and was like, sweet, i don't bet bet baseball much and i hit on that tiebreaker game. then there was another one tonight. i was like holy shit, another tie? then i realize this is how they do it now. and i probably still don't really understand what it is because i could give a fukk less. fukking stupid this is. i know i'm stupid too, but i was tricked goddammit. hey, i'm a cubs fan, i don't need to know how this postseason shit works anyway.

Am I the only one sick of the over the top celebrating in baseball? Bunch of jerkoffs jumping around and dancing, throwing water on each other, and giving shaving cream pies in the face on a 90 loss team when they walk off a game? Win a tie breaker game and pop bottles and act like morons. Win the Wild Card game, pop bottles, wear Oakley goggles and pop bottles. Win the division, pop bottles. Rinse and fukkin' repeat till the World Series. Getting fukkin' old. Celebrate the Division and go nuts for the World Series otherwise settle the fukk down. Nobody is going to give a fukk about your Wild Card win or tie breaker win unless you win the Series.

I actually don't mind it.
I like the fact more teams get into the mix, and baseball is relevant in September again.
The problem is the downtime for the teams that win their divisions. Boston is going to go from playing on Sunday, and then not again until Friday. That seems like a big advantage for Tampa Bay, since they are kind of gelling now. Just look what happened to the Tigers last year in the World Series, long layoff, and their rhythm was off.
Although I like more teams making it, it's still flawed. I'm just not sure how you go about fixing it.

It's simple, win your division next year. You only gotta beat out 4 teams.
Can't have anymore cake walks for wild card teams. You should be forced to used your best pitchers early, and be at some kind of disadvantage going into the next series against teams who deserve the right to be well rested and have some kind of edge for being the best team in their division.
