San Franciso 49ers -7 vs Houston Texans

    I'm thinking 49ers cover here.

49ers defense matches up well against what the Texans try to do on offense.

Matt Shuab should have another rough game.

My concern here is will Anquan Boldin be able to get open?

i hear he only does well against small DB's according to NFL network..

    thoughts on this game anyone?

The miners aren't good enough this year to be giving up these kinda points. Plus the Texans just had a player's only meeting meaning they will probably win SU.

They are kind of in that category with the Falcons.

I dont think you can be 1-3 and call your self a good team.

However the Texans do have some talent mixed around that roster.

I guess i would call the Texans an average team.

Matt Shuab will get eaten alive.

And 49ers biggest strength is their ability to cover TE's and stop the run.

Teams with elite QB's torch the Texans.

Sunday night we find out if Kaep is elite.

Sunday night we also find out if the 49ers can get another receiver invloved in the offense other than big and slow Anquan Boldin.

Kaep is overrated. He was good last year because team don't know how to stop the PISTOL play. But this year is different. Kaep, wilson, rg3 has struggle this years. Kaep/wilson are 2 lucky qb in a great football team.

yeah your right Kaep is having a sophmore slump so far.

i guess i'm just counting on 49ers defense totally shutting down the Texans.

above avg team with a below avg qb.. cushing has yet to pass concussion protocol which is a serious problem for them..if he can play hou plays tough run defense and this version of sf has to run..anytime im looking to go against hou i look for a team with big time scary wrs as that is hou biggest deficiency on defense, dont think sf has that, boldin a warrior and all but he has lost a step or 2 and sf really has nobody to scare ya deep which plays into hou hands..sf has shown vulnerable to the run as well and hou can certainly run, if they had any sense they would have ran and punted last week vs sea and won the gm..

or maybe keap is gettin a very unfair wrap as with crabtree hurt he has no wrs that can separate, no wr that can blow the top off a defense, and safties can play way up cause of this which negates his legs and makes it difficult for boldin to have any space...give keap peyton mannings weapons and let manning have boldin, davis and no one else and let me know how he would be doing..

Houston runs up the gut at the nose on almost 70% of their run plays. San Fran has yet to show they are as effective as last year at stopping the power game. The exit of Ike Sapoaga in exchange for Glenn Dorsey leaves them much weaker against the gut. Sapoaga was listed @ 330 and Dorsey is much lighter and not where near the run stuffer.

Better be sure Patrick Willis is 100% to fill those gaps or they will be exploited here. Houston may be able to control some clock here.

I talk more smack on Atl and Texans than anyone around here. However it's the truth in my eyes they are both just above average not elite contenders like the media spins them to be. Both have soft hearts, weaknesses on defense, and then the Schaub factor who ironically has ties to both. Just don't see Houston taking last weeks meltdown lightly here and I really hate backing them on the road vs a quality opponent. Think taking the pts here makes sense hopefully line goes up a little more to 7.5 at some point. Frisco probably wins but I see it being a close one. And if Cushing is a go that only helps obviously.

Too much point to give a pissed off JJ. Watt. SF couldnt stop Marshawn Lynch even with Aldon Smith. But I'll never trust Schaub to cover. Just gonna watch, no point putting money on a toss up.

Who knows who or what is gonna show up with these two teams?? With that said I'd take the points, but there's gotta be better bets on the board.

houston wins straight up, Their not bad enough to be getting a TD here and the Niners are simply not as good as advertised on offense.

Texans can't beat good teams, and leave it to Matt Schaub to throw the game away. Guy is becoming the new Romo.

Sooo because a team had a players only meeting, means they will win straight up huh?!?! In this case why don't all teams have a players only meeting every week! I agree with your first statement about the Niners not being as good but don't just throw darts at the wall after.

Problem is with betting this year's Niners is they're so inconsistent on which team they want to be. With the Rams, they sucked first quarter and looked like the same team that played the Seahawks and Colts. Then they finally got back to their roots and started running the ball successfully. Kaep looked scared to make a mistake and throw the ball until everything got up and moving. Point being, it's hard to figure out which squad will show up to play, not to mention if Roman will stick with what works. If the Niners can't get the run game rolling vs Watt n crew, it'll be a tough one.

I'm staying away from this one. Just going to be a fan.

Actually now -5.5 at some places. I am surprised line turned around but that's ok, I'm just happy to have less than the key -7. I will only get annoyed if it drops to -4, which I highly doubt.
