Normally I love Ga Tech at home on short weeks, because teams simply do not have enough time to prepare for the Triple Option. Its been a huge angle for me for quite some time, but that is mostly used with non conference games.

The Hokie Defense is very experienced up front, and obviously have seen this attack before. IF any DC can prepare them its Bud Foster, right?




They haven't seen Vad Lee or faced this attack with a QB who is capable of throwing the football when they need to. This is not Joshua Nesbitt or Tevin Washington. The Yellow Jackets lost this game last year in their opener @ lane 20-17. (Hokies had all that time before the season to prepare)

Also we all know how bad the Hokie kicking game is, and that might force Beamer's hand in some critical situations, to keep the ball in Logan Thomas hands. (You know how that typically goes)

The line jumped off the key number quickly from 7 to 7.5

I think Ga Tech is excellent choice for ML Parlays/Teasers this week...

Can't see this Hokie team going into Bobby Dodd and coming out with a Win.

They might not dice them for 300+ but 230-240 should be sufficient as long as they don't put the ball on the ground multiple times. (only 1 on the season up to this point)

Bottom line is the Yellow Jackets should control the Time of Possession, as they are converting 3rd downs at a 67% Clip.

That should set the tone with an early lead and make that Hokie Offense play from behind. A recipe for a long night in Atlanta on National Tv.

I think this line could go to 8/8.5 before kick, but I'm not the best predictor of that. I wouldn't mind laying the extra 10 cents to buy down to the key #

Well when I played it, it had gone down from 7.5 to 7 at a lot of places. I now see that it turned around and is back at 7.5 at most places so I might have jumped the gun. The truth of the matter though is that there is really not too much difference between 7.5-8, so I'll only be annoyed if it hits 8.5.

Foster has defended the Ga Tech triple option better than any ACC team over the last five years, I see this is as a relatively low scoring game. Maybe not low scoring enough to play under 42ish, but low scoring enough to give the hook on the 7 value.

Bud foster knows how to stop ga tech. That said, va tech can't run, pass, or score. Teaser or ML is the way to go.

I disagree with VT being overrated now. I think the other way now after close games with ECU and Marshall. Now public opinion against VT and all for GT since they came back against UNC and demolished Duke. What you need to see is how teams are rushing the ball vs. VT. The most yds against them is 133 by marshall. Even the great running SEC team Alabama had less than 100 yds rushing. So with a low scoring game and a good D against the run who knows how to stop the triple option and won last 5 of 6 matchups, getting 7.5 is a good deal.

also, games have been very close, and i was unimpressed with the slow start against unc last week - although i did cash with them!
Gtech is 4-0 ATS, i think they will win but probably not cover

IMO +13 has a smaller edge over the -1 Ga tech line you can tease
