    Can you ever win enough?

Or do you keep betting until you self destruct? This is where we go wrong.

Good question for in the Casino.

If most people would just say "Hey, I'm up 500 bucks" and walk away they'd be good but most people give it all back.

The problem is when you sit down and are immediately up in like the first 10 minutes. Then what, do you just walk away and go to the strip club, dance club or what or try and make it a real good night and risk losing it? My friend lost all his money in like 15 min and I was playing for like 6 hours. It gets annoying.

its the degen factory you are NEVER satisfied. You always think your in a hole when it comes to gambling and you will NEVER get out of it. If you win you think you can win more and if you are down you keep going till you get even

nope, not for me anyway. A few months ago I was up 235 k. I started with a 100$ deposit and caught fire. I never decided on a set cash out point and was just enjoying the ride. I was a cocky a hole not thinking the ride would stop. I told myself lets get to 250 k and then put on the brakes a little bit and cashout a good chunk. I then went on an ice coldstreak and blew 150k. I was able to cash out around 100k and I still felt like a loser for losing the 150k i was up. I am a streaky gambler. I've lost a 7 team parlay on the last leg to win 10 k each of the last 2 days. On monday the A's were the last leg and got absolutely demolished by the angels so it wasn't even exciting at all really. On tuesday the red sox were last leg and it was in their grasps the whole game. The best relief pitcher in baseball uehara gives up his first run in ages and screws me over. Back to back tough breaks but I was so hot i still made a nice profit on straight plays. Today I got back on the horse and fired out another 7 teamer to win 10k. 5 champions league play came thru (thanks to a late minute dortmund goal) and I'm left with 2 games (tigers ml and nationals ml) to win the 10k. Hopefully, i don't get screwed for the 3rd day in a row. I've already told myself I'd cash out 7.5k if it hits and play with the rest. It's all about setting goals and cashing out quick.

It's not about the money. If it was nobody would gamble, everyone would have more money if they never gambled. If everyone was honest in here and admit we're all lifetime losers. Some get hot have a winning year maybe two. But in the long run everyone loses. Gambling is an addiction just like crack cocaine and will make people do stupid shit to support the habit. With that said who's got a winner tonight.

Value, money management, wagering strategy are all that matter.

In that order. Do not worry about winning.

    Or losing.

Follow that line of thinking and your money will take care of itself.

No. You keep betting until you win more. And then you win some more. Nothing to do with self destructing.

Your gonna win sometimes and lose sometimes right?

    Here's the secret.

    Ready for it???????

If your money holds out your luck will eventually change.

Vegas has deeper pockets than you. That's why they will always win in the long run.

Keep on betting.... You only have enough when you don't know how much you got.

Set a goal for football and basketball seasons combined... and well, betting in spots in other sports when you can't bet football or basketball. 10k... or really, only an average of $30 per day for 330 days. that's 35 days then where you can just take the entire day off and do nothing when there is nothing good to bet on.

It is reasonable, reachable.... and a nice amount of extra disposable income to have in a year.

The only things getting in the way of this goal are:

    greed
    stupididty
    impatience
    bad BR management
    chasing on a down day
    tailing Lakerboy

but you don't just have to hit 30 a day. you win what you can and you wait and be patient and jump on the days when the betting opportunities are best and higher amounts can be reached in 1 day like football saturday/sunday's.

I am trying to do this and so far, since the start of September I am ahead of the "plan" by about 15 days.

Can I win enough? I would have to say yes. If I can't, I probably won't win at all.

Most people will never be able to define edge, let alone bet it. And most of those that can find edge will donk it away at some point after a tough loss sets them on tilt. Humans are not wired for this stuff. Takes a long time to ignore the impulses, go against the grain, and handle losing, which is a part of winning.

Bookies hand out ropes and bettors gladly hang themselves.

What if you only bet online and not in Vegas? Plus, Vegas wins in the long-run against all people combined, not necessarily against each individual.

Yep. Stayed right on course tonight plus some. Up .92 units... went ahead of the "per day average" again since football was available. I love football.

Also got a pending parlay on Clemson and 49'ers ML... those 2 parlayed got it down to just above -200 and it was free money. Only question tonight was if Clemson would cover -13 or more. Didn't fukk with the spread... didn't get greedy.

I don't think I'd ever stop. If I had millions I'd still be sweating $50k bets just for the action.
