    Just got limited by 188bet

    Hi everyone,

    Just got limited by 188. The funny thing is that last month I lost money, although i have been very successful in the past. Why now? Anyone been limited by them recently?

    yes its soccer, i bet 200 per bet and my betting total per month is 150,000. I recently started betting for teams and have done well, before i only did over / under. i have milked them for the last three years why now?

    200 per bet gets you to 150,000/month wagered? That doesn't sound right.

    hi! newbie here. have you tried any sports broker? i am searching on the internet and many of them says they do not limit winners. as based on your comment that it happens in the world of online bookmakers. so if i have accounts on the bookmakers, i will also be limited if i always win?

    Why play at 188bet when you can play at sbobet and have higher limits and more tolerance for winners??

    My 188bet account was limited and at the time I was a high volume soccer bettor, on major leagues like EPL, Bundesliga etc. I didn't bet on any obscure markets. Maybe did some lower league soccer betting but by far the majority of my action was on the big leagues.

    A friend of mine is similarly limited but he played on a lot of obscure markets so obviously believes that is the reason why.

    Like many books, I think they just limit if they review your play and determine you an unprofitable customer. That will no doubt include, but not be limited to betting vulnerable lines on obscure markets.

    In my case, from memory I was perhaps taking lines when they were better than SBO (SBO has always been my asian of choice).

    So perhaps that is the reason why.

    If I recall correctly, unlike soft books they did say to me (after I contacted them on live chat) that it's possible that the limits could change after an account review if management deemed my betting patterns to have changed......

    Not that I would have the chance to do that on £10 bets.

    I would have liked to have checked my entire bet history at the time but it only goes back so far. I thought about contacting them for it but couldn't be bothered and just moved on.

    Wish I had contacted them now - my account would have been a large enough sample size to indicate which way the account was heading (winning/losing).

    Theoretically it should have been a losing account, as I was arbing against slower moving books, but as I said in an earlier post I was using 188 exclusively when the price was better than SBO or Pinny, so it is possible I was an overall winner - we're talking very tight margins here......
