St. Louis Cardinals. Now don't get me wrong, Lynn sucks ass and Cingrani has not looked like a rookie at all. However, if you look at what the pitchers have done vs. tonight's opponent this year, the picture is dramatically different. Lynn wishes he could face Cincinnati every game, because in four starts against them he is 3-0 with a 2.67 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, .196 average allowed and 32 strikeouts in 27 innings vs. eight walks. Cingrani has been terrific allowing two runs or less in nine of his last 10 starts. The one time he didn't? That was his only start vs. the Cardinals where he lasted only five innings. Yes he escaped with allowing only three earned runs, but he labored through 103 pitches in those five innings walking five to go along with the four hits he allowed, probably his worst start all year.
