YOU KNOW YOU ARE PERSIAN ....
If you leave your house at the exact time that the event you're going to is supposed to start, no matter how far you live from the place. (Known as PST - Persian Standard Time. Usually caused by the husband/boyfriend saying "Karet nabashe...meereseem." Or the wife/girlfriend looking in her immense closet and saying "I can't find anything to wear.")
If you talk with your friends on your cell phone while you are still able to see them in the distance - at the Coffee Bean on Sunset, Cheesecake Factory in Brentwood, Sports Club Los Angeles, etc.
If you use your cell phone to tell your friend that you are outside of his/her house to pick him/her up. (Usually seen on the Wilshire Corridor- at the Wilshire Estina and other highrises.)
If your friends are named Tony, Fred and Mike, but none of them speak a word of English.
If you buy shaving cream from the Price Club...by the keg. If you have Thanksgiving dinner with sabzi polo turkey (a wild combination of Thanksgiving and aid.)
If you are still a "Virgin" (Nudge nudge wink wink.)
If you go to the doctor for a checkup and come home with medication for your mother, grandmother, uncle and next door neighbor.
If your mother fishes for compliments after the dinner, proclaiming to everyone that the berenj and khoresht needed more namak. (A strange version of this can be found in some homes in Beverly Hills or Brentwood when the Guatamalan maid who cooks for the family finds herself being yelled at by the mother in the house - "Maria you need more salt -moocho saley - namak - namak!"
