    The Mets should have got more than this guy, for what they gave up. This guy is essentially a a late first early second round draft pick who probably won't play in the MLB for 2 years if ever.

    a) you are under estimating what the value in a 19 year old A ball all star middle infielder is
    b) you are judging a trade before the PTBNL is even named which even the Pirate Gm said is "significant"
    c) you are forgetting the cash
    d) what did the mets give up? a few weeks of some old farts that helped them to last place

    chi, im a bit surprised your being so negative about their chances. the playoffs are a crapshoot, this isnt the nba, anyone can win once your in, try and avoid the wild card game though is important.

    nah, hes fairly realistic for the most part, i usually agree with him, but the point is that the pirates are for sure better then they were on tuesday before the trade, thats all anyone can ask, what they gave up in the future is minimal at best.
