    Tony Romo or Phillip Rivers?

If you had to have one of these guys be QB for your favorite team which one would you pick?

    ( Not talking fantasy football)

i'm saying if one of these gueys had to be your QB in real life... if you owned an NFL franchise.

Someone please send this thread into the ether of the private zone...

Outside of the year that Romo was INJ for the majority of the season, he has objectively been the better QB his whole career.

This isn't even a debate, it's Romo without even thinking about it.

shocked at all the love for Romo. Philip Rivers is the clear choice hear. Guy had to deal with Norv Turner for all those years. With a solid coach he would have been to at least 1 super bowl. Also worth mentioning Rivers has won 3 playoff games while Romo has only won 1.

yall act like Rivers is the worst QB in the league.

I remember when people used to think he was something special.

    he's not even that old.

I think Rivers has a very high upside.

Rivers has no one to throw to outside of Gates. I'd pick Romo. Callahan calling the offensive plays in Dallas now, not that idiot Garrett.

By the way, if anyone wants to participate in a live 12-team YAHOO! PPR draft at 4PM ET today this league I signed up for seems pretty cool. They need like 8 more teams. Live Draft at 4 pm on another 1.5 hours.

    League ID: 921557

It's called "Fantasy Junkies 2". Can't miss it.

Romo and it's not even close. Romo would be a great quarterback if he had an offensive line that could block

Romo always has that one play that usually cost his team the game. He is the most un-clutch QB i've ever witnessed.

Even Worse than Jake Delhomme in clutch situations

I agree about him having a hard time in the clutch. So did peyton manning for a long time. If I want a QB that gives me quality chance to make the playoffs on a consistent basis, you take Romo over Rivers every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

We always go to a couple in April/May. We actually were given tickets to a game the first of August, and since they were killer tickets, we went. HUGE mistake!

Wound up smack in middle of the row. (I'm 6'7, so this is a bad fit for me) To cap it off, had a 400 LB fat fukk sitting right beside me, who proceeded to pound about 10 beers by the 3rd inning.

Needless to say....I listened to the 4th inning on in my car enroute to the crib.

Hopefully I'll be back there for a few games in October/November.

alot of clueless posters in this thread. until last year Philip Rivers was considered an automatic top 10 QB in the league their wasn't even any doubt about it. Meanwhile Romo has always cracked under pressure in big situations. As I said in my previous post if the Chargers had a better head coach they would have been to at least 1 Super Bowl. The Chargers were a regular playoff team every year under Rivers until the past 2 years. Rivers has the better record overall, more playoff success, better mentally. definitely not a big gap as some of you make it seem.

Why not add Cutler to get the Holy Trinity of overrated quarterbacks in the NFL these days?

That said, I'd go with Romo here by a lot. Generally Romo can put some good games together, but Rivers has been mostly steaming garbage ever since Tomlinson left S.D. Both these guys are way overrated largely because of fantasy football though.
