Mariano Rivera just gave up back to back homeruns

Unreal, had under 8.5. when was the last time he gave up 2 homeruns in the same inning?

Figures. The Yankees anyway is in big trouble to get into the post season. They will have to play .750 baseball to have any chance. That is a tall order.

was hoping for a tiger comeback, i figured tigers would destroy pettite today and verlander would dominate yankee line up.

im a yankee fan and all the talk is how this is just a wasted season right now. i think mariano is starting to lose movement on the cutter and can't throw fast enough to blow by hitters with the fastball. he also used to have that high fastball that hitters would chase.

maggy needs to be walked at all times. i dont know why you pitch to him at all. bonds treatment is coming. the only way i wouldn't walk him is if it was puig or davis behind him.

girardi said the yankees have to win 35 of the 47 games remaining to make the playoffs in his estimation. that would be 93 victories i think. i don't see it happening with the starting pitching they have right now.
