Why Are Millions Of Dollars Being Thrown At Daily Fantasy Sports Games

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/darrenhe...rtner=yahootix

Daily fantasy sports remains the fastest growing segment of the multi-million-player fantasy sports industry. The financial attractiveness of this sector has been demonstrated by recent investments in the space from the major entertainment conglomerates cited by Ladd, in addition to the funding by his own company. More companies will likely get in the game, whether or not the legalities of the offerings are as stable as Ladd may believe.

Because no one knows about how interactive and financially rewarding live wagering and exchange wagering is. People are like sheep . They go where the masses go !!

Obviously I'm a bit biased and pro-daily fantasy since I work at one of the sites- SportsTradex.com.

The industry has seen a tremendous amount of growth over the year as more and more people that play traditional fantasy and perhaps sports bet discover daily fantasy. We've also seen some individuals make a good amount of money playing daily fantasy (similar to how some people made quite a bit playing poker back in the day).

With sports betting being illegal in the US and likely staying that way for a long time in most areas, fantasy (both daily and traditional) is an alternative where you can enjoy sports and analyze the matchups. However, unlike traditional fantasy, with daily fantasy you aren't SOL if a couple of your best players go down for the season due to a fluke injury. The more skilled players generally do quite well over the course of a season since there are able to play in so many contests.

NFL fantasy is actually pretty fun. Why SBR hasn't done their own fantasy site baffles me. I'm goiing to guess those sign-ups have dropped off a tad from 2005........

It's essentially a completely legal way of gambling. The damn puritans (yeah right) in the U.S. government will let you hope Verlander pitches well enough to let you make money if he is on your fantasy team, but they don't want his team to do well enough so that your moneyline bet wins. It is terrible hypocrisy.

i have several fantasy's but sports is not one of them. i looked at it since i live in oklahoma home of legends OU sooners busts. but its barfy and i'm going back to vegas.

barfy to include both fantasy sports and online gaming. (offshore). how can u win big online in oklahoma without fear of the irs fbi. of joint covert wagering swat team busting down ur door to get ur computer.

and i know some D.A around where i live (oklahoma) knows i'm from vegas and like to gamble. they can have their LEGENDS busting state. i'm outta here. hell in vegas they want you to sportsbet. spend millions on great books. in oklahoma they want you in prison for 25 years for it. fukk them. i'll follow their enforcement of federal sportsbetting law.

i'm gone. they can have it.

Fantasy is a lot easier to win at than betting games, especially in leagues with primarily recreational players. Plus being a good fantasy player makes you a better sports handicapper.

It sucks that they don't allow it my state, could be interesting to dabble in on the recreational level.

This. Fantasy is on the verge of exploding. This is the new wild west. If you're smart and are positioned well enough, you will make millions in the next three years. I'm taking equity out of my house for it (not joking).

And if you're not convinced, check out what TomG (used to post a lot in HTT) is up to these days. Google "g123." Based on the data I've gathered, I estimate he's cleaning up at close to 60% in heads up daily contests, not to mention the weak competition for larger tourneys, where cashing is insanely easy for people with above average sized brains.

It was about time. I'm out of local money leagues to play (mostly because they were ran by bubblegum bookies that owe me money). So this is the first year I'll really get into it. I'm pretty comfortable I can break even or at least make a little coin. Which ones are the best sites? I know of draft kings because of SBR but are there others? Also how safe are the funds? After the poker thing it's kind of shady.

It is a lot of fun and tons of money to be made. Especially the bigger it gets the more rec players play and easier it is to win. JJ, check out Fanduel, Draftkings, or Draftday.

The government actually made Fantasy legal in the law, that is why this is completely legal. I play on 4 different sites and all have done same to next day payouts through Paypal every time no problems. Only thing is they do send you tax forms at the end of the year if your total winnings are over $600 so you are supposed to claim it.

Just watch, this will be the next fuk'in thing our shit for brains government goes after! First online poker, sportsbooks, medical marijuana dispensaries, invasive phone and email spying, those bastards don't want us having any fun or privacy! But not to worry, you can still buy assault rifles and as much ammunition as you want.
