Just how good Bagwell's 1994 season was.

Roughly 115 games into this season:

    ML BA Leader: .361
    ML HR Leader: 40
    ML RBI Leader: 103
    ML Hits Leader: 143
    ML 2B Leader: 40
    ML Runs Leader: 82
    ML SLG Leader: .673
    ML OBP Leader: .455
    ML OPS Leader: 1.120

    Bagwell through 110 Games

    BA: .368
    HR: 39
    RBI: 116
    Hits: 147
    2B: 32
    Runs: 106
    SLG: .750
    OBP: .451
    OPS: 1.201

I know he broke his hand right before the strike so he would have conceivably missed the rest of the season but would we not have been looking at one of the all-time great seasons? 200+ hits, 53-55 homers, 155-160 RBIs, 150 runs, 45 doubles. He would have put himself top 5 all time total bases in a single season. His slugging for that season is 11th all time (Pujols highest is a tie for 62nd) OPS is 20th all time (Pujols highest is 74th and Cabrera 62nd)

I don't know if or how many times its happened but how many season has a guy finished .350+ 50 HRs 40 2Bs 150 RBIs and 150 Runs? Ever?

Steroids will do wonders for your numbers...
Just because he wasn't mentioned doesn't mean he wasn't juicing. I think he got out of the game, or quit juicing, just before a lot of that started to go down.

What about Brady Anderson? That guy was a one hit wonder. Shows exactly how much PED's can help a niqqA . Steroids are the real deal

    Bagwell juiced 100%.
Guy was a twig when he came up as a rookie. Beefed up 40 lbs easily.

Doesn't matter. He was a juicer, fit right in with the culture at the time.

Being 30 and gaining that kind of muscle when testosterone levels are declining doesn't add up. Also, many other guys around this time had similar growth spurts and have since been implicated. Of it qucks like a duck, odds are its a duck. Baggers was putting stuff in his ass. It's cool. Just own that shit

He did all of that, without ever learning how to properly stand in the batters box.

He put up those stats from the "taking a shit in a Minnesota airport bathroom" stance.

    Amazing. Steroids or not.

If steroids have no ill health effects, they are a legitimate training aid. I support anything that improves yourself. AROD for President.

All it takes is it to have one ill side effect on one person, to make it unfair. That's not the case, as taking HGH or other forms of PED's include a laundry list of side effects, to include losing a hundred million dollar contract, simple because past roid use has shrunken your brain to an unusable size.

Nyet. No proven connection to steroids and brain cancer for Lyle. Simply not there. And simply no apparent health issues for recent users other than look banged up but that's generally true most ex ballers. There is even less connection than global warming which is to say less than none.

Well then that's AROD's problem. His body. His choice. His consequences. I wouldn't take them. Everybody has a choice. Pro choice. Supreme Court said so.
